Weather
I woke up this morning and jumped into my car, I headed north to my appointment and felt an overwhelming sense of peace and serenity. The clouds were turning grey and I remembered how just yesterday I was sitting under the beaming sun and wishing it would rain.
After my appointment I saw a drip, drop, drip drop. Could it be the rain was falling? I love Fox 4 weather reports they are always accurate they even made a commercial about me after the tornado. So I sat there in my car with a decision to make. Do I go to work or go back home and enjoy the rain. The red light stayed still forever, after a few minutes the next thing I knew I was at home, in bed with the windows opening listening to the rain and thanking God for cleansing the earth. It was really refreshing and I wanted to enjoy life.
I picked up my laptop for a moment to write this post and now I am going under the blankets and will not return to life until tomorrow. If anyone asks why.. I'll simply say the rain made me do it. Enjoy moments and appreciate life. See you tomorrow.

I'm sitting here thinking that with all of the negative stuff out here this is FOX 4's chance to let their bloggers share some good news or motivational thoughts for the day. Is there anyone else that would like to have this added? Speak now or forever hold your GOOD NEWS
I posted this once and I received so man calls from my friends
I decided to post it again...enjoy.
INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO SMILE
1. Get a serious look on your face
2. Arch your eyebrows - but keep the serious look on your face, Where are you, if you are at your desk, don't let anyone see you because this could be contagious (it's not time to smile yet,so hold it)
3. Wink at yourself cause you are a hottie, you are the bomb and you know it
4. Put on some chapstick because you are almost there
5. Does anyone see you right now?if so, then slowly start moving those jaw muscles to get prepared
6. Spread your lips horizonally so you can prepare for the big moment - there should be a slight grin on your face, that's it... (You are doing a great job)only 4 steps to go
7. Put your hands on your side because there could be a really big laugh bottled up in you that you haven't released in years so you need to be ready for it
8. Slowly start showing your teeth which I'm sure you have already brushed them, right? (made you laugh didn't I?) STOP laughing it's not time yet.
9. Think about someone who you really love that should have made you smile or think about all the times you went out of the house with your pants unzipped, tissue on the bottom of your shoe, had Green brocolli in your teeth while you were trying to talk to your sweetheart, had cold mess in the corner of your eye and you thought you were cute, had a visitor in your nose ALL DAY and nobody told you about it, thought you were a diva and had a runner in your stocking, tried to sing your favorite song and couldn't hit a note, knew you desperately needed a breath mint but for the life of you couldn't find one NOW HOLD THAT thought and walk around all day spreading love and Smiling
10. Be prepared for questions, most of them will come from non-smilers who (those who are just to busy to acknowledge that you are a hottie) so don't be discouraged. SMILE harder and longer at them. They will wonder what you are up to.
When I was a little girl, we couldn't afford games so we made up one called the laughing game.Tell me if you smiled today and what did people say. Also, tell me how YOU felt about it.
Look for THE SMILE SEMINAR coming soon to a place or news station near you.

There I was... making my phone calls, preparing to go to Jena. However, I wasn't sure why I was going to Jena. I knew part of my reason was because I was an African American so I needed to GIVE my support. As founder of the Giving Movement I began to think this will be a great way to Give. I will GIVE the gift of time , yeah that's it, that is what my mind kept telling me.
As an African American I will GIVE my time to support the Jena 6 cause. I will purchase me a BLACK shirt and get on the bus to ride 8 hours with complete strangers to show my support for a young man that has been in trouble with the law twice and now is facing years in prison for a possible sentencing that I personally felt was outrageous. Then I spoke to someone who was in Louisiana, they told me and I quote " don't come here Cheryl". As those words began to ring in my head I started to count up the cost.
Why am I going to Jena? Why are others going to Jena? Is it the fact that this is a man just like me who is a Negro/African American or is it about the noose. There is no doubt that when I saw the noose hanging from the tree, it represented anger, it represented what my ancestors went through, all I could see were white sheets and black people hanging from trees, in other words DEATH and that registered a feeling inside of me that I never thought I would have to feel in my lifetime. The noose, the noose, the noose, that's all I am reading about on the blogs.
This morning I woke up in my bed ( after deciding not to get on the bus) and I am thinking about the supposedly peaceful march that is to take place today. I am praying for my friend who decided to take the trip. I hope she is alright. I think about the number of people expected to arrive in the city of Jena and the amount of money they paid for the bus seat, the water, the shirts and no doubt the liquor that will be consumed in our show of support, I began to put a pen and paper to the numbers.
Some cities were charging a $95.00 fee for the bus ride, other cities were charing in excess of $200.00 and in Dallas the amount was about $40.00 so let's put this in perspective. For the record we will just use the Dallas numbers. If 60,000 people are expected to show up in Jena and the ticket cost $40.00 why didn't we just collect the money and give it to the family? We are talking about $2,400,000.00 that doesn't include the gas money for the buses and all the additional cost that is involved in going. If all of them purchased a BLACK shirt ( why Black?) to show support on an average of $5.00 per shirt( or $10 if you purchase the official Jena 6 shirt) but we will stay at $5.00 that is an additional $ 300,000.00 if everyone purchased a 6 pack of water at an average cost of $4.00 that is an additional $ 24,000.00. I think you get the picture. What about all of the plane tickets purchased by the dignitaries and the who's who that will be marching there? As for as it being an all white jury that convicted Mr Bell. i began to have questions... Where were the black jurors that did not show up yet I am sure they are at the rally smiling. So sad.
As African Americans and as human beings, it is time for us to think. What could $ 2,724,000.00 have done for this young man. We could have taken him and all the other men involved in this case and relocated them to any city in the world and paid for theri homes, cars and God forbid their education. We could have had money left over to pay for randome people credit cards. We could have had money to feed the homeless and the list goes on.
Wake up America, millions of crimes are committed everyday. Would you take off your job when you hear the next Amber alert to find someone that has been abducted. Would you take off your job to spend an hour to hold the hand of a woman that has been brutally raped? Would you spend an evening at a homeless shelter or better yet just donate the $40.00 cost of the bus ride to feed them?
I am in no ways downplaying the importance of this issue, but I will be the voice to say enough is enough. NO more Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson for me. Let's push the Giving Button for peace and common sense. We could have colletced the money and let a few high profile spokespersons to give the money to these families and allow them to speak on our behalf.
As I read many of the threatening post and sad comments on many of the message boards, I hope you will agree with me that it is time for us to GIVE justice a chance. It will prevail.
We have went into a city, shut down all their businesses and all Shaprton in his speech today said we need to change our mindset. For once I believe that Mr Shaprton is correct. Wake up America, let's change our mindset on how we respond to these issues.
What do you think? Do I make sense. This is definitely something 2 talk about and I am talking!!

Well, well, well..... what can I say except way to go for two African American coaches to be headed to the Super bowl in February and isn't it ironic that February is black histroy month. I want to be the first to say that A BLACK coach will win the Super Bowl this year. That's right... I am going out on a limb, I'll put my paycheck on it!!
Congratulations to both of the coaches and may this be the first for them. And while I'm at it... maybe it's time for Jerry to look at another coach and make history by chosing one that will take us back to the super bowl next year.

I am so thankful to Fox 4 for allowing me and my sister to share our super savings with the metroplex. When we buy groceries and other items we don't realize how much money you can save if you just knew the tricks of the trade. I love savings money and educating others on how to do it and also giving back to the community.
In 2004, over 300 BILLION coupons were manufactured and 99% of them were thrown in the trash. We - The Sisters of Savings are trying to change those statistics one house at a time! We hope that you will help us. Could you use some extra money in your pocket and what would you do with it?
Thanks again to Fox FOUR and SUPER STEVE who's always on our side.

I changed my photo to the church cross and I want to explain why. I was driving by the church where my parents first pastored for over 25 years. When my parents were there they took time to clean the church, repair anything that went wrong with the church and of course they took care of the people that were members to the best of their ability. When I passed the church and saw the steeple and the cross LEANING I stopped the car and took this photo. It reminded me of what is happening today. SOME and I stress SOME pastors don't care about the church or its people. They are only concerned about themselves. The churches are falling apart, and nobody cares enough to stop and say something about it. Sooner or later if this steeple is not repaired the cross will fall down. This is the same thing that will happen to the hearts of preachers if they are not confronted that they are making mistakes they continue to fall until they end up.... well in jail. If you see this picture happening in your church... stop and say something.
Do you agree or what.... this was just an observation on my part.

Here's a thought I had. Recently, I was filmed by a local news station FOX 4 of course and they put a microphone on me. Of course when people mic you, the alert comes on to watch what you say, because anyone can hear you. I thought it would be interesting to read your thought on what would happen if you were mic'd all day long for the world to listen.
Would they find that you are a loving mother or father? DO you tell the people close to you how much they mean to you? Would they only hear the keyboard because you sit on the computer all day instead of spending quality time with your family? Would they hear you yelling at your dog? ( sometimes that's me) lol. Would they hear laughter from you.
Tell me what we would find out about you if you were mic's all day long. And one more note... you actually are mic'd because God is recording everything you do.....hmmmm

As a pastor's kid, I am so thankful that Justice has been served. The victims were prisoners for months and now the Mr. Hornybuckle will understand how they felt. I hope that all of the horrible so called men of God that are thinking about abusing God's people take note that they might get by, but they won't get away. God will expose them, one by one.
It took some strong women to come forth and confront their accuser... My hat's go off to them. I pray for strength, peace and rest for everyone affected by this tragedy.
I hope that he asks God for forgiveness for the sins he committed and as usual most people get saved in prison so I pray that he finds salvation there too.
How do you feel?

This was my post on August 22nd,
I'm sorry, call me crazy but I don't think Karr killed this little girl. I think he is motivated by all the press coverage that he has and will be receiving. I also hate to hear that he was sitting in his jail cell watching television and watching him on the tube like he is some type of celebrity or something.
For the last few weeks we have watched continous coverage on this sick man.... Why,oh why, couldn't that time have been used on talking about something or someone positive. I am tired of ALL negative news. So what happens to Karr now? Will he just disappear into thin air? I think he should be put in prison too, right next to Hornbuckle.
Most of the bloggers that responded to my post said Karr was not guilty but nobody listened to us. Hopefully they learned something.... Just ask the Fox bloggers what we think.
What do you think?

A few days ago, a blogger named Justice4all responded to a blog I posted. Making a long story short Justice was one of Mr.( not Pastor) Hornbuckles victims. I am writing this blog to say Congrats to Justice. I am sure coming forth was not easy but she did and today Justice received Justice.
As a pastors daughter I am saddened that this tragedy occured but the bible said in Jeremiah 23:1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.
Jer 23:2 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.
Only God Knows how many more victims are out there and I am praying for everyone involved in this tragedy.
What are your thoughts?

Look hear, I wasn't going to blog today, I thought I would take a day off and enjoy the rain, then I see TO on the television and I am so sick of him. I can understand if he is really hurt why he would not practice but there is NO EXCUSE for not attending meetings. Jerry should have took that 10 million dollar bonus that he gave to TO and donated it to a worthy charity.
I can't understand why these high profile athletes get all of the special treatment. give me 10 million dollars and they would have to make me leave the practice field.
On a positive note, look at TG _ Terry is doing fantastic job!

I was sitting here on my bed, about to pick up my cpmputer when I heard a drip, drop, drip drop, the next thing I knew it was Four hours later and I just woke up from the best nap I have had in years.
I know the rain made me do it! I woke up and called me sister, she had the same drousy sound in her voice, I asked "Are you sleep?" she yes, yes, yes. We both said it together "It's the rain".
What did the rain do to you? There's an old negro spiritual that we sing at our church called Send down the rain Lord. I think he did it today.
I wish I could blog more but I'm still sleepy.
Talk to you tomorrow.

Who wants to see a naked, pregnant, Brittany Spears? even if she wasn't pregnant I don't want to see any billboards of her nor anyone else. I shutter to think if young men are driving and get distracted. If they have an accident trying to see her body, they should blame it on the advertising agency and sue their pants off(not litteraly).
I'm so tired of nudity, sex,and filthy language. It is now become the normal in our society and we wonder why the world is going so bad. I know the article said the ad will appear in Japan, but we all know it will be on billboard near us soon.
Am I the only one that feels this way?
