Orange County investigators are looking for a serial rapist in the rio grande area of Orlando. They say he's raped two women at gun point. He was allegedly attempting to make another woman his victim when he realized he'd met his match. He broke into her home and began punching her in her face. Somehow they managed to end up outside fighting and she grabbed him by his dreadlocks and drug him by his hair. They ended up falling on the ground where she was able to get on top of him...she's a stealth woman....she held him down until he took a plug out of her arm biting her. He broke free and ran away! She's a tough chick who wouldn't be taken! So he has several scratches and marks to prove he met up with this woman!

A Leesburg soldier finally received financial compensation after he was wrongly accused of rioting sixty four years ago. He spent a year in a military jail waiting for justice. His family got a check for more than twenty-seven thousand dollars. The day before he died he received an honorable discharge from the military. He was 83 when he died.

Okay...this is one to write about. I'm working on story today where a 53 year old woman has been arrested for abusing her 92 year old husband. They got married earlier this year. He's legally blind and confined to a wheelchair. Investigators say his caregivers reported he was sleep deprived and being kept in poor health by turning the thermostat below 60 degrees in the home. She basically failed to keep him in a healthy environment after he was recently released from the hospital with bronchitis. In addition to this, she's withdrawn over $100,000 dollars from his account which remains unaccounted for. I'm hoping to talk to both victim and perpetrator.....stay tuned for this one!

Are you familiar with this scam? Well it's based on building confidence in the "pigeon" or victim. A person will gain the trust of someone..then they convince them to give up a certain amount of money in order to secure the rights to a larger sum of money or valuable object. Realistically the scammers gets the money the pigeon (victim) is left with nothing. Police say they're focusing on seniors. They befriend them and gain their trust...usually running errands taking them to doctors appointments...etc. Then they convince them to take out loans, go through their bank accounts...any number of ways they scheme to take from the elderly. The holidays are nearing so they say be careful to keep your eyes open for them.

It's really interesting to go to Biketoberfest. You see all kinds of people there. Some who look like they've lived life well, and others who, well seem to have allowed life to live them...depending on how you look at it. It's interesting though to see the mix. I consider myself to be pretty safe minded...however...it looks invigorating!!! I kind wished I could hop on one today by myself just to see if it's as great a ride as soooo many have declared. I just have this thing with being on the open highway with no physical protection ;- )...lol!

Are you kidding me?!?!? Another teacher has been arrested for having relations with two students. I read the affadavit and it's scary. The 38 year old woman was literally having a love affair in her mind where she felt this sixteen year old child was her confidant. Question...do you feel a fourteen, fifteen, sixteen year old could provide the emotional stability of a mate for a grown woman? Just asking!!!

Shay Harris comes to sunny Florida years after her first family trip to Disney World, only to find a sprawling city that's still growing. Before arriving in Orlando, Shay spent almost three years in Memphis, Tennessee. Shay worked as a Reporter and Fill-in Anchor while in the Bluff City. In Memphis, Shay got to experience every kind of story possible; she was one of the first reporters to cover the nationally publicized story of "The Pastor's Wife", a slaying in Selmer, TN that took the networks by storm for weeks. She also experienced, first hand, the devastation left by deadly twisters in Tennessee and Arkansas. What Shay really enjoyed digging her chops into were exclusive stories of intrigue like how dead people "voted" in major elections... and other stories of mischief in city, county, and state government, stories like, The Tennessee Waltz scandal, as well as the kidnapping of a teenaged girl who escaped from the house of her captor where police returned to find drugs & child pornography among other things. Shay spent two years in Chattanooga, TN as an Anchor and Producer of the news and talk show, "News for Women". She also made stops in Jackson, TN & Beaumont, TX. From time to time you may catch appearances of Shay guest starring on the nationally syndicated shows "The Parkers" and "The Steve Harvey Show". While living in Los Angeles, she spent a year as the Project Director for Los Angeles County's largest Homeless Facility, "People Assisting the Homeless", some of Shay's most rewarding work. Shay is a lover of inspirational & empowerment books, in fact she has some literary works in progress of her own. She enjoys opportunities to play in charity softball games for the Boys & Girls Club, reading to & mentoring young children, speaking at empowerment functions that benefit women, singing at civic & social events and doing whatever it takes to uplift the community in which she lives. Shay enjoys watching movies, going to sporting events, cooking and those few rare moments to relax at home.
