Wal-Mart is being portrayed as heroes by offing 4.00 prescriptions.  Beware this comes with headaches and could one day cause a death.   If you do not have insurance the Deland Super Wal-Mart can bill, they will make you wait for your 4.00 prescription as long as 4 days or longer.

My doctor on Friday picked 3 prescriptions from Wal-Mart’s prescription list.  She told me to take them immediately.   My blood sugar and blood pressure were in the danger zones and I needed medication immediately.    The prescription was taken to Wal-Mart.   Was told can not have it filled until 3:00 P.M the next day.   The next day came and was told, oh we had “no insurance to bill,” so we did not fill it.  WHAT?   They were told these prescriptions are on their list to be 4.00 only and were told the serious health I was in and had to take these medications immediately.   4 trips were made to Wal-Mart to try and get this medication.  The 4th trip, we were informed it would not be until the 3rd day that we would get these prescriptions.  We then threaten to camp out there until these prescriptions were filled.  Within 10 minutes they were filled.

The gentleman behind us was going on the 4th day of waiting for prescriptions to be filled.

It is evident, if you have insurance for Wal-Mart to bill, your prescription is filled the same day.  Will it take someone to die before Wal-Mart is exposed to what they are putting people through?

I would like to see the fox action reporter investigate this matter before someone actually dies.    So be aware when you are getting a prescription from the 4.00 list.

The State of Florida has decided to find a way to "WASTE" money by placing bushes and trees in the center media in Deland on International Speedway Blvd/Hwy 92 between Kepler Road and Hwy 17.    Note the trees are placed close to the edge of the road, easy target for cars to hit and what is more interesting, they place sprinklers in as well.    If anyone has notice, as soon as it rains this area flooded, so why sprinklers?    Oh, they have to design and waste money at a time when they should be cutting the budget.

Will this bring more money to the state?  No!  Will this bring more people to the area?  No!   So, why is the state wasting money and not trimming all this fat in their budget as well?   It is time the State of Florida, the counties and cities in Florida make an "honest" effort to cut wasteful spending instead of cutting programs that would only enhance the community.   I feel salaries for more police, firefighters, programs for children come before wasteful spending on landscaping a highway.
