To put it simply, Riley, the UFC police got involved because the kid was starting to act like a moron, especially after asking nonsense questions like "Are you, or have you ever been, a member of the Skull and Bones secret society?" Please. Besides, it was all for the cameras. Now let's let this die already, for the 16th time.

If you people hate repeat blogs so much, why are you particiapting in them? Or how about trying to answer the question instead of bitching about it. There's too many blogs on the same topic. BOO HOO, You knew what you were clicking on. If you don't like it ignore it. There have been no other blogs where this direct question is the actual topic. By starting this blog Riley34470 has a chance at recieving a legitimate answer to THIS question. J_Darrowin, when did it become illegal to act like a moron or ask questions you consider nonsense?. If I think your comment is nonsense can I have you arested? Skull and Bones is a large and influential society. It is no secret that president Bush and his father were members. You don't think it's important to know whether Kerry was or is also?? UF police got involved because they felt the kid was acting in apropriately and may become unruly. They tried to escort him out and he resisted at that point your options are walk out on your own or walk out in cuffs. They were simply trying to cover their asses by doing what they are trained to do. But the simple fact is Kerry WAS willing to answer the question so it never should have come to that in the first place. It's a sad world when a kid armed with a book and some out of the ordinary questions is considered a disturbance to a question and aswer event. And so what if it was all for the cameras, what difference does that make?? If you want this topic dead so badly go comment somewhere else.

So I was and still am a little confused, was this kid trying to ridicule Kerry because He felt he didn't put up enough of a fight for the uncounted votes, or was it to simply show the weakness of the democratic party? What was his message? I don't believe he was a moron. He was simply trying to get some message across, although I don' quite know what it is but! :-)

I would love to side with the kid on this one but, after seeing the longer version of the tape he did not give John (war criminal) Kerry a chance to answer any of his questions so I have to say that he did need to be removed....darn it!

Seems to me like he was criticizing Kerry for not putting up a fight about the votes, and and not persuing the impeachment issue. By following up with his Skull and Bones question seems like he's suggesting mabe Kerry is actually in bed with Bush like davidpatrick344 said. Or at the least just playing the role he was told to play to serve their agenda. I do not think he needed to beremoved @ that point but I do have to agree with RNC08 and say that he hadn't caused such a scene we might have gotten some answers. Of course the tape does not show whether Kerry went on to answer them once things settled down. Does anyone know if he did?

i wonder if they would have let him go on an blow off all his steam, (since he wasn't approaching Kerry) if Kerry would have answered him. If I was in Kerry's position, I would have let him have his say till he was exhausted and then answered him. Therefore; fullfilling his "right to free speech".

WELL DUH! That (kid, good word to describe) ask for it and besides John Kerry is a male version of Hillary, he wishes he could be and it also seems he will not have his good buddy John Edwards to back him up any more since John has bigger and better plans for himself which doesn't include Kerry any more....AWE!

Did anyone notice the name of the book that he had in his hand? Obviously many of his questions were from that book. It's amazing how many of the comments about this incident try to turn it into a partisan argument in order to avoid the issue.

The kid followed a routine of asking several questions before waiting for an answer. In these days of talking heads on TV, it is not an unusual technique. Billy Bob on the O'reilly Factor uses it quite often as a way to keep other people from talking. A good offensive move?

Did the kid pull out a gun and threaten anyone to prompt such action by the police? Maybe his words were more threatening than a gun to some people.

Freedom of speech.........as long as everyone says only things that are acceptible.

"While law enforcement authorities usually blamed student radicals for the violence that took place on campuses, often it was police themselves who initiated bloodshed as they cleared out students occupying campus buildings during “sit-ins” or street demonstrations. As antiwar sentiment mounted in intensity from 1965 to 1970 so did violence, culminating in the killings of four students at Kent State in Ohio and of two at Jackson State College in Mississippi."- Microsoft Encarta Encylopedia 2004.
