Paulsen is dispicable and should be forced to resign. A Golden-Sachs operative that told us in 2007 that everything was fine......

Bush should just go behind closed doors and start packing. He fell for the last card the "Bush Haters Had"....I thought he had it in him to fight til the end.

The Dems are taking this country right where they want it now.  If the bail out works they get all the credit and all the power...if it fails they can blame the Reps.

We now have a country that Lenin would be proud of boys and girls.

On this day, with the 700 billion deal almost done...I sit in amazement, I sit without words, I sit almost as if the terrorists have hit us again.  I am sorry, I can't contain this sinking feeling.

This Bible verse could apply to America today:

2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

If there are any born again Christians that are walking with God our there, pray for our country. Moses interceded for the multitude that God was going to wipe out, and they were spared. Our country has turned her back on God and thrown away his laws that made her great. We don't deserve the free country that we have had for so long. I just hope God will have mercy on a people that for the most part are against him and not give us what we deserve. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

RandyLoo, it's like we have inherited a prize winning garden, and we have not been willing to do what it takes to maintain the effort.
You can only imagine our country in the beginning, like a new garden had rocks and roots that need to be dug out and the soil had to be broken up and turned. The rocks are used from then on to mark the corners of the garden, as landmarks for future generations to remember the effort that it took to cultivate the great garden that we've had. We've not given back to the soil, the weeds have covered over the landmarks, and now instead of just picking food from the ground with no effort, there is no yield. I wonder if we have enough of what our forefathers had to be able to work her back into "blue ribbon" shape?

Sorry to go so long. For feeling so "s

My only hope is that McCain wins and does good on his word of Reform. Otherwise, we are headed for a very rude awakening. National Security will be compromised due to Liberals ideals, our Economic growth will be minimal to none, our Health Care will become ridden with waste and abuse. But, our Democrat elected officials will continue to get rich as many have done by being on Fannie and Fredie's side.

Randy... I am scared. It's not been a good 18 months for me... on my birthday last year, I fell and fractured my hand, wrenched my shoulder. A few months later the slum lord owner, Dennis Hernandez, raised the rent so I opted to buy my own place... in October last year... only to have people vote in that silly amendment that caused all sorts of problems with the county... $$$$. But the market fell out and they stopped doing the condo conversions where I bought. They are renting out the apartment unit to the lowest of low lifes and the crime rate is up. Then I just had to put one of my cats down... she was 14.

Randy... continued... My mother was only 9 at the time of the Great Depression, but she was living in France or Germany (her father was in the US Diplomatic Corp), my dad was only 2 and lived on a small farm in very rural OH. Neither of them had memories of the depression that they could share with me when we studied it in History classes.

Bush ruined this country... for his family's personal gain. All that money spent on the ridiculous war! We need to evict all the current government people... Congress, Senate... and start over... with "common folk". (A Tom Clancy book does this... )

Look on the bright side, 700 billion is nothing compared to the trillions that Bush and Congress have piled on the national debt since 2000.

Anyone get the email going around about how much money we should all get, with the new figure of $85 billion, based on 200 Million taxpayers? It states that the money should be given to the taxpayers... about $425,000 each. Most of us could pay off our debts, put a little aside for a raining day, etc. Even mentioned that the amount would be taxed, putting the money back into the system. Did this guy use a calculator!?!?! The last time I looked, the $850 billion divided by 200 million comes out to $4250. I did the math mentally, on paper, and on a calculator!

Grew up in the good ol' 50's and 60's. I am opininated, sappy, sentimental and love my Country..but hate where it is headed (socialists scare the bejeebers out of me). I want to retire but can't afford to do so. Love the outdoors. Believe in right to carry arms for protection and sports. Married to a wonderful guy that knows the way to my heart is buying me a load of potting soil from the rock and gravel man.
