A mother was ticketed for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor after her toddler son urinated on her car tire in a parking lot.

Did the cop go too far? What do you think?

This story was unbelieveable! That officer following identifying himself as one, should have shown that mother his badge then but instead placed judgement on her because her son desided he had to take a pee!

1. The child at least pissed on the tire turned away from everyone else therefore not exactly in plain sight as only a boy can do!

2. When they gotta go, they gotta go! I'm sure the mother would have had a talk with her son about that afterward!

3. That officer didn't exactly deal with things professionaly as he should have so what the mother felt she had to do was justified and smart so if I were her I would fight that ticket!

4. The officer showed more on a power play instead and should have handled the situation in the proper manner in the first place! If a ticket had to be given then it could have been a warning!

HE was only a toddler!!! What is wrong with society that a policeman can ticket a woman because her TODDLER peed on the tire of her car? Guess he didn't pee anywhere but in the potty when he was little! JERK!!!!

Typical cop, give them a badge and a gun and they think they are a god. The cop needs to go back to school and learn what humanity is.

Foolish. Any parent knows a child doesn't yet have the control an adult has. When that bell tolls time is up and you have to do something NOW! This cop needs a good sit down. Giving him the benefit of the doubt I say he shouldn't be fired he should be educated.

On the other hand...maybe he thought the kid was armed and dangerous with that weapon.

OMG, this is the most stupid cop I have ever heard of. A child for gosh sakes. I let my children do that plenty of times...and my dog too.

I'm going to go with the mom on this one. The kid is 3. The cop was being a bit ridiculous. The cop needs a small suspension. He's a disgrace to the uniform and badge. The power has gone to his head. Cops like that make the rest look bad.

Actually the cop is breaking the law himself. He MUST provide identification when requested and MUST anounce himself as a police officer and with which agency.
This is actually one of the first things cops learn while still in the academy.

I always had to notify people who I was and who I was with whenever I confronted someone.

Susspend the egotistical cop and make him learn a lesson that he is not God.

I wonder just how many trees and bushes that cop watered during his time of growing up! What a prick! And I bet this is what he calls just doing his job too!

As far as I'm concerned, it couldn't get much lower.

I'm just glad the cop didn't feel the need to taser the kid!

Ditto that (the link).

How is any halfway intelligent person expected to give an opinion on a story synopsized in one sentence?

Did the mother become belligerent? Did the kid piddle on the cop's shoe? C'mon Patrick. You're supposed to be a reporter. Give us the who, what, where, when, why, and how.

Hell, this is after all central Florida. POS pissing everywhere. But hey, that's how they were brought up. Trash breeding trash...and trash defending it.

It's a shame when our society goes to this extreme. This is a toddler, not a full grown man.
The officer needs to have some type of sensitive training or somthing to help him understand the needs of children and how they can't always wait.
It's also obvious he doesn't have kids of his own.

Poor judgement! I wonder how many times THAT Officer has peed outside, WHILE on his shift, because it was just easier to pull off the road and pee, rather than pull into a restroom somewhere. THAT aside, from what I'm gathering, it was a VERY young child, on the verge of peeing in HIS pants. He probably whipped it out, and started going, before his Momma even realized he was whizzing. I have 2 brothers, and I saw them "do that" to MY Momma
a time or two when we were youngun's. Good Grief! Weren't there CRIMINALS around? What county did this happen in, anyway? Please don't tell me it was Volusia Co., I'll be morbidly embarrassed!
