A Sanford business owner evicted from the property by the new property owner now has signs up on the building warning people the owner is a sex offender.

He is a sex offender but do you think it's a good-faith warning or sour grapes?

Sounds like sour grapes to me.

According to Florida Real Estate Law, the Broker representing the original SELLER is only obligated to "Disclose all known facts that materially affect the property not visible to the buyer." By law, they DO NOT have to disclose whether or not a violent murder(s) has taken place at the property, (like the Family Dollar Store incident) whether or not the establishment was the location of a suicide, or if homosexuals used to get together there. THAT is the job of the Buyer's Broker, to ask/ discover or the buyer himself to ask, research or discover. Whether the BUYER has a criminal background, is a transvestite, has had the brain transplant of a chimpanzee, or has ever been to church is part of the fiduciary relationship between the BUYER's Broker and himself. If I were the Seller, I'd be outraged too, but "legally" there is NOTHING, he can do, once the sale has been completed. I'd probably be putting up "Warning Signs," too! Maybe, there's a school or church nearby?
Then the twisted freak won't be allowed to "work" on his own property! Dee-Da-Dee!!!!!

I would have to say that this is the product of sour grapes. Sex Offender has become the catch all for a broad range of offense's.

People have yet to detach the fact that pedophiles and violent offenders are far and away from some of the others that get put on that list.

Today a man caught for public urination or a woman who get's a ticket for bathing nude both land on that list. Both are harmless in the grand scope of things.

I say before casting stones find out what the guy is guilty of then decide whether he deserves the scorn of the public eye.
