Lawson Lamar the State Attorney for Orange and Osceola Counties is forcing employees to take a couple unpaid days off every month. He says it's to keep the doors open and to prevent layoffs.

With crime on the rise do you think our prosecutors need to be given more time off?

Well if they werent burdened with the stupid socalled crimes like the useless was on drugs and prostitution and like that idiot police cheif in Daytona worrying about girls dancing nude then they would have more time with REAL crimes.

I've seen these prosecutors work. It isn't hurting anyone if they take a few days off every month. With the sloppy job they do and the poor choice of what cases to prosecute I think they could take most of the month off without anyone noticing.

They all need to be fired and put people who actually give a crap in there instead.

I know for a fact that there are prosecutors who could go into private practice and make a lot more money but they choose to perform a public service.
Last week State Attorney Lawson Lamar said his office is one of the three least funded in the state and he's now asking for people with legal backgrounds to volunteer.
