Have you ever noticed that it seems that if McCain gets the presidency, he said he'll pull the troops out of Iraq by like 2015...which is like after his first term is over.
Bush also said the troops would by out by the time his term is over.

Has anyone else noticed that it's like their passing the war over president to president, kinda like tossing around an old vase, like a "here you go" or "Your problem now" kinda thing.

If McCain does win (key word is IF) what will happened to the US and please don't say it will change for the better. I'm smarter than that.

What the heck is going on?! Is this going to end up like Korea because technically the war was really never declared over. There is still a large base near the border of North Korea, right? So when will this war truly be over and will the Republicans at least clean up the mess they made before a Democrat has to do it for them?

I'm not dropping this, so expect to be annoyed by this more than once.

McCain will win... and in an Electoral landslide if Hillary doesnt join Obama. But I am convinced the troops in Iraq will come home in 2009 with McCain. He is fed up with the mess too. Being in the loop, kindof, there are rumors at the Pentagon how to "redeploy" them already just in case of Iran.

There is good news not being reported (Foxnews showed that this week. IE: Basra undercontrol after the IRAQI troops beat the Al Sadr troops back in great fashion.. and a couple other things to long to mention. I dont think We will be in Iraq any further.

But as much as I hate all Senators and Congressmen... Obama, Hillary AND McCain will not do too much... it is a question as to who is the lesser of the evils and I think it is McCain. Liberals are really really bad for US Business and middle class even though they say the opposite.

Fight the Al Sadr "troops" but just don't go after Al Sadr.........is he bin Laden's cousin by any chance? We don't mind killing pawns, but are reluctant to go after leaders.....why is that?

People often compare war to a chess game, but even in the game of chess you go after the opposing king. Otherwise you will never win.

Because the Leaders hide within the Borders of Foreign Countries..

In the case of OBL,,We ARE searching for him..You'd HAVE to KNOW the Terrain in Northern Pakistan to understand HOW it's so easy to evade capture..

Al Sadr is ANOTHER Story..Like Saddan before the War,,HE has found Santuary in Iran..ONLY by EXPANDING the WAR to that country can WE even BEGIN to look for HIM..SOME say that THAT isn't such a bad Idea either..

And Shadows,,MIGHT I remind you of a Little flaw in your Chess/War analogy..The comparisons are made with regard to STRATEGIES Only..UNLIKE in War,, You WIN a game of Chess NOT by Killing the opposing King nor EVEN by Capturing said King..In fact,, you are PREVENTED from doing EITHER by the RULES of the GAME.. You WIN at Chess with a Checkmate,, NOT a Kill or a Capture.. You manuver until the opposition MUST move but cannot move without placing HIS OWN KING in Jeopardy..

That's why EVERY chess game EVER won ENDS while it's STILL the LOSER'S turn,,

I agree shadow... Al Sadr should have been taken out 2 years ago... he is in Iran now. Fox News has been talking about the things the print press and NBC corrupt media isnt reporting that are surprising successes.

Know what? I think that Kennedy was suckered into Viet Nam, just as he was into the Bay of Pigs. When he realized his mistake, he decided to pull out of VN, so he was assinated.
Now Oswald might have acted on his own, but if he hadn't, I think that businesses that made military weapons would have taken JFK out anyway.
RFK also was ready to pull out of VN and would have been a real threat to the same people. He was taken out.
LBJ, well Lady Bird had stock in helicopters, so they felt safe with LBJ.
VNW did no good for NVN, SVN, USA except for the companies that make helicoptors, tanks, cannons, helmets, guns, bullets, morter, etc. We devistated that country for corporate profit.
In order to keep the war machinery advancing, we have to get rid of the old stuff.

Now the Mid East is different because they are a threat to us.

Still, going after terrorist with the military is like going after bacteria with guns. It simply isn't going to do the job.

Oil is making the Arabs rich. While they were eating sand, they were no threat. I just think that this whole thing is way more screwed up than you realize. Arabs now want nuclear power and I don't mean electricity. They want satellites in space.
What do you think Bush's demonstration that we could shoot down a satellite in space was about?
I don't trust any of them, McCain, most of all.

you may well have a point TG but it depends on how you are meaning “pull out” ...if you are expecting us to pull out as we did in S Korea (drop everything and run for it ) I would have to say no its not going to happen , on the other hand if you mean pull out like we did in the Philippians 60 years ago where we tell the world we are pulling out and move all of our military resources quietly to staging from local government bases (fooling all the US “cars” into believing we quit the war) and quietly lose a few hundred US soldiers every year fighting a war that no one knows about then I say yes we will be “so called leaving Iraq” soon....much like the bombing of Iraq that no one noticed under Clinton, but with more casualty's !

...so PW you think Obama will actually end the war ? Or more to the point you think others think he will end the war so he will get shot to keep it going...LOL that is funny in so many ways ...but you made the whole point that you where trying to make “Obama is JFK” (or so you would have us believe)

Thats how it works!

Back in the last term of Ronald Reagan, the Democrat majority voted to reduce the military by almost half and to take effect by 1997! Clinton then increased operational use while allowing it all to happen.

Obama sponsored a bill to reduce global poverty by 2015. The bill was hand carried by Joe Biden, with NO debate, and a quick voice vote. The cost... hundreds of Billions by 2015 or .7% of GDP.

These are the same leaders that put things out there almost a decade, but then turn around and tell you that drilling in ANWOR or American would take too long to fix our problems, so they won't support it....

Old enough to vote, but still not old enough to drink. I'm a student at a small college and I'm a lot nicer than my nickname implies. I average a 4.0 GPA and my likes include white chocolate, wrestling (especially the wrestlers Jeff Hardy and Shannon Moore), drawing, painting, rock music like Avenged Sevenfold, Killswitch Engage, Korn and Marilyn Manson, (yes I listen to Marilyn Manson wanna make something of it?) and video games. My dislikes are mushrooms, pickles, celebrity garbage, people who never look on both sides of the issues, people who generalize, Republicans in general and ignorance. I have been living in Central Florida for almost eight years and have been using most of my spare time to find every link between the oil tycoons and the Republicans in Congress.(Everyone has a hobby, this is mine).
