143 DAYS...

You couldn't be a new lawyer with 143 days of experience and become a partner in a law firm.

You couldn't get a job at McDonald's and become district manager after 143 days of experience.

You couldn't become chief of surgery after 143 days of  experience of being a surgeon.

You couldn't get a job as a teacher and be the superintendent after 143 days of experience.

You couldn't join the military and become a colonel after a 143 days of experience.

You couldn't get a job as a reporter and become the nightly news anchor after 143 days of experience.

BUT....

'From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of "experience" in  the Senate. That's how many days the Senate was actually in session and working.

After 143 days of work "experience," Obama believes he is ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the  Free World .... 143 days.

We all have to start somewhere. The senate is a good start, but after 143 days, that's all it is...a start.

AND, strangely, a large sector of the American  public is okay with this and campaigning for him. We wouldn't accept this in our own line of work, yet some are okay with this for the President of the United States of America?

mswhiz, why do you keep harping on that sos blaming Bush for allllll of your problems?? There were no problems until the dems took over congress and put this country into a nose dive. He did a damned good job of running this country even with the adversity blocking his every move. Why not do the right thing and look into what B. Hussein Obama is saying (and not saying) a little and you will see that everything he stands for is heading us into socialism and leaning toward 100% government control. Both he and his ignorant running mate have been caught in sooo many lies it is beyond count. All I (and we thinking people) ask is for people to do a little (just a little) investigation before you blindly committing your vote.

He keeps harping on that because it is all he has ...bad ideas and a will to lose the WOT at all cost but because the Democrats have deliberately pushed the economy to the breaking point and Bush is the President they can get the brain dead to chant and march us all strait to he11 (yes I consider Socialism hell but then again unlike the spoiled rich* brats in this country I have seen what Socialism really looks like)

A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat, and was very much in favor of 'the redistribution of wealth.'

She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch Republican, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his.

One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the addition of more government welfare programs. The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father. He responded by asking how she was doing in school.

Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even have time for a boyfriend, and didn't really have many college friends because she spent all her time studying.

Her father listened and then asked, 'How is your friend Audrey doing?'

She replied, 'Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes, she never studies, and she barely has a 2 .0 GPA. She is so popular on campus; college for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties, and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes because she'

She's always invited to all the parties, and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes because she's too hung over.'

Her wise father asked his daughter, 'Why don't you go to the Dean's office and ask him to deduct a 1.0 off your GPA and give it to your friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of GPA.'

So what does everyone think of this suggestion?

My question has and still is ,why give someone a promotion ,when they haven't earned the pay they're getting now?

Poor poor liberal , you still don't understand the difference between what is my stuff and what is yours. You will soon find that stealing wealth is not profitable but enjoy your $1000 relief check but spend it wisely because you traded it for your JOB ! The biggest “flaw” in all of this is the simple fact that your boss is already treating you better than your government ever will....ironically your “plan” will insure that every one of looks back to 2008 as the “good old days” .....

Is the above scenario too confusing? Once I see some responses there is a conclusion.

On the other side of your equation why not give someone a promotion who really deserves it.. Not talking lazy people you refer to.. There are plenty of hard working Americans who are passed over, each day, for jobs/promotions due to nepotism, racism and/or sexism.. Not to mention women getting less money for doing the same jobs as men.. Can you explain why this is still happening in the greatest Nation on Earth?

How many attacks have there been here in this country since 2001?

How many people returned their rebate checks provided by Bush?

I remember when this came up with Wal-Mart..

Turns out that the woman making the charge had been working there for about 6 months while the guy that she was comparing herself to worked there for about 5 YEARS..

Sure he was making more for the same job and WELL HE SHOULD....

Wealth has already been stolen under Bush adminstration.. You republicans just refuse to realize it and/or can see him doing no wrong.. This Nation has come to it's senses and realizes all of Bush's BS.. Thank goodness.. Been 8 years too long..

mswhiz...you are misguided, dilutional and wouldn't know a fact if it hit you in the face. Do you get you information from the one sided media. Sounds like it. Try thinking for your self for a change

mswhiz, again you fail to recognize the simple fact that it was not Bush that stole everything from us, it was the democratic congress. Look at the facts concerning the countries direction in Bush's first six years and how after the dems took over, the nose dive we fell into. All we ask is to listen to the facts and do a little investigation instead of sipping the koolaid.

The only truth the media has spoken is after the 2000 election they vowed to ruin this sitting president. From day one they have done nothing but attack, the Democrats would not allow many of Bush's agenda go through the system, The stuff that did go through the Democrats modified it to benefit their need and greed. Everything surrounding this financial chaos is because of the Democrats and it is on video (of course it is shown once and then when the media figures out it is bad for their caused it is never to be found again. The Democrats could not and would not accept defeat so they too went on this rampage to ruin this president. So you know what they say about returning the favor. Hey, what's good for the goose...

1) You're right no attacks in this Country since 911 yet terrorist are still bombing and Bin Laden hasn't been captured..

2) Can't say I know of anyone who's return their rebate yet I know some who used theirs help others..

mswhiz, exactly no one returned their checks but yet they complain. Now used to help others I highly doubt it. Not everyone is as stupid or that gullable as you may think. A free thinking person knows differently and certainly better.

Bush's billion $$ bailout is just a rebate for Corporate America and yet those greedy bastards want more.. The rebate to Americans was a drop in the bucket compared to the bailout.. It's simple minded people who think Americans won't help others which I did.. Guess that's the Republican way of thinking, "My Friend"..

mswhiz...Did I say I was a Republican? I never said I was a Republican. The difference between you and me is I see and listen carefully of what and how things are being reported. I am watching from the sidelines. On one side we have greedy and lying individuals all party of a hateful party called the Democrats and on the other side we whiney and spineless individuals who want to do right but have no backbone to stand up to their opponents, so they just let them walk all over them. Bush did it with the media instead of setting the record straight he let the media and the whacked-out far left idiots tear him apart.

LOOKING at the DIFFERENCES, I'll take OBAMA.
Obama has had one wife.
McCain married a tall slim model, Carol, who
he ran around on, and then dumped after she had
had been crippled in a car accident, and married
a rich socialite, Cindy.

Obama was against the war in Iraq and said we
should keep after the terrorists who attacked us
on 9/11, in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
McCain supported Bush in starting the war in Iraq,
which has cost thousands of lives and billions
of dollars. Terrible waste in lives & funds.

Obama warned over a year ago that the economy
was failing, and that drastic measures should
be taken to provide transparency and regulation.
McCain and Bush said our economy was strong, and
continued to support deregulation.

Obama believes in tax breaks for the working
middle class and incentives to keep jobs here.
McCain believes in continuing the Bush tax cuts
which only benefit the most wealthy, plus more
tax cuts for everyone across the board, whether
they need it or not. So, where would the money
come from under McCain's plan, for schools, roads, etc?

Economics are Obama's strong subject.
McCain admitted he knows nothing about economics,
and voted in support of Bush over 90% of the time.

Giving all the tax breaks to the top 1% and
thinking that money will trickle down to the
rest of us, has not worked. Those at the top
put the extra in their pockets instead of using
it to create more jobs, or allowing workers to
have a raise for doing good work. Instead they
can outsource jobs overseas to people who will
work for sl

work for slave wages, and leave our workers

8 years has proven it doesn't work. We can't
afford any more Bush-McCain economics.
