Here's a bit:

WASHINGTON (AP) — That smiling guy walking down the street? Odds are he's a Barack Obama backer. The grouchy looking one? Don't ask, and don't necessarily count on him to vote on Tuesday, either.

More John McCain supporters feel glum about the presidential campaign while more of Obama's are charged up over it, according to an Associated Press-Yahoo! News poll released Saturday.

The survey shows McCain backers have become increasingly upset in recent weeks, a period that has seen Obama take a firm lead in many polls. One expert says the contrasting moods could affect how likely the two candidates' supporters are to vote on Election Day, possibly dampening McCain's turnout while boosting Obama's.

While 43 percent of the Democrat Obama's backers said they are excited over the campaign, just 13 percent of McCain's said so, according to the survey of adults, conducted by Knowledge Networks. Six in 10 Obama supporters said the race interests them, compared to four in 10 backing McCain, the Republican senator from Arizona.

On the flip side, 52 percent of McCain supporters said the campaign has left them frustrated, compared to 30 percent of Obama's. A quarter of McCain backers say they feel helpless, double the rate of those preferring Obama, the Illinois senator.

More McCain supporters also feel angry and bored, while Obama's are likelier to say they are proud and hopeful.

All of this is a bad sign for McCain, according to George E. Marcus, a political scientist from Williams College who has studied the role emotion plays in politics. Negative feelings about a campaign can discourage voters by making them less likely to go through what can be a painful process: Voting for someone who will lose.

Judging by the heightened flinging of insults and garbage I've noticed from McCain supporters, this poll has a point.

And the left has been slinging "crap" for months! *lol* Where does this leave Ron Paul supporters now? If McCain's are glum(and they are not), Paul's must be downright suicidal! *LMAO*

Suicidal? Not hardly, just moving over to the Obama camp. Because he is the lessor of two evils. Which, thanks to those that didn't vote for Ron in the Primaries, we're back to.

Too bad for the GOP eh? Ron was the only candidate that could get Dems & Indies to vote for him. They're never going to go for McSame and his furthering of NeoCon agendas.

I can't wait to see what Yellowdog comes up with satire-wise w/Obama. Somehow I don't think he'll have as much material as TheDecider has provided so easily. But, I have faith he'll still come up w/some good stuff outside of Barry's ears. Barack is a politician after all. They always provide good material for a Roast!

Suicidal... that's funny. You wish.

a trustworthy pole is a wonderful thing at out age Vit.

The pals on the raunchy right have slung lies, innuendos and half baked drivel for years MO. The shrillness has increased since the "moral majority" quit being so "moral".....larry Craig, anyone?

To be blindsided by Dumbo was no easy pill to swallow either...what was the story line in '03...if you opposed the "war to hang Saddam" you must be a traitor and you hated the troops?

If you thought the government should have ANY regulation of the banks and of wall street you MUST be a socialist commie.

If you opposed torture and illegal searches you MUST support terrorism.

If you suggested the Decider was less than a messiah for our times you MUST be an idiot.

No wonder our pals have resorted to repeating the BIG LIE ad nauseum...that's all they have left to cling to. Slingling around an insult and labeling others as "idiots" makes their pain a bit easier to tolerate I suppose.

Take a tylenol boys, it's better on you than having those spastic colon attacks when you hear the poll numbers.

The though of those boys running to the outhouse is just TOO damned FUNNY> Is Jerry inside with his mother?

Yellowdog, if I had a dime for every time I have been called either a traitor, commie, unpatriotic, or unAmerican over the last 8 years of posting on political boards I could retire.

Good thing I have a thick skin and don't take the rantings of the 'other side' personally. Sometimes it's down-right hysterical. I picture these people w/their brains about to explode from the audacity of my posting an opinion they don't like. I knew I'd struck a nerve when the typos start going crazy. They get so upset they can't even type. Oh the joys of ShillSlaying with Shrills.

In some respects I'll miss it, but I'm off on a kick of SparkliePositivity for the most part.

If only McCain had been more positive things may have worked better for him in the long-run.

hehehehehehehe... He got Cheney's endorsement. That should help him win. McSame.

Tho, I must say had Ron gotten Dicks endorsement my own brain may have exploded all over my computer screen. He FINALLY saw the Light!!!!

FloydFreak, Obama will give you a break. A tax-break. Tho, you don't have to take it of course. Wouldn't want you to think your supporting Socialism....

Not to worry MO, with Nancy, Harry and Barney on the forefront and Biden and Barry Bigear in the news, the fun will continue.

Barry Bigear..... It's true about the fun continuing, but I won't be as much a part of it. Getting a business off the ground in this economy is taking a lot of my time. Hence why I haven't been here as much as I usually am. But hey, it keeps me off the streets and puts money in our coffers.

I know the ShillSlaying will be left in your capable hands. DEOP too.

"Suicidal? Not hardly, just moving over to the Obama camp. Because he is the lessor of two evils."

Moo,

You mean it's because you can't keep your word. If you were a person of the smallest amount of integrity, you would keep your word and vote for Ron Paul. Not keeping your word to us or any other blogger but to the man you have supported for months. You are a fair weather voter. It's that or the Ron Paul talk was a smoke screen and you have been in the Obama camp all along. How sad though that you can't keep your word. Sounds like an Obama move to me! Like when he told Hillary to release her senate records and then never produced his own. You both mastered slight of hand politics!

Now go get in line for your Obamacheck!

Ron isn't running. Or haven't you noticed that fact? You're first clue might be that he isn't on the ballot.

Why would I vote for an independent and throw my vote to McSame? Remember Nader? No thank you.

I am a life-long dem who changed parties for Ron Paul only.

If you want to sling insults about integrity around, tell us why you didn't vote for Ron? Was it the Kook or Coward line that got ya? If I remember correctly, both you, FloydFreak and a few others were convinced we'd be attacked again if he were to win the Presidency. Talk about smoke-screens. But hey, insult away, just as the poll suggests McCain supporters can't help but doing.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to a tax-break. But I ain't holding my breath. I understand that neither side has to live up to their campaign promises. We have a record-breaking deficit and bailout to pay for.

Getting back to the topic of the post, if I may. What exactly is your point?

You will find conservatives to be apprehensive and fearful, as well we should be for what our nation stands to become.

HOWEVER, study after study have proven that, on the whole, conservatives are MUCH happier people than liberals. Conservatives GIVE more to charitable causes than do libs, too. Giving to others (NOT HE GOVERNMENT) contributes to one's happiness.

THAT is FACT.

Just look at the manner in which Osama and company keep beating America down convincing the electorate that we're in some sort of GD depression. And then there's his wife saying that she's never been proud of her country. PUL-EASE! I for one have been proud of my country for as long as I've known what my country is.

The only thing depressing is their message.

I know you're more than capable Yellowdog. I'll be around when I have time (like now).

I see stang ignored my question about why he didn't vote for Ron since stang is full of integrity.

FloydFreak, McCain's message is the one that is depressing. That's why he isn't doing as well as BarryBigEars.

That's why people equate McSame w/Bush. He'll be picking up the NeoCon torch. No thanks. The NeoCons have done enough damage in 8 years.

Tho, on a funny note, did y'all see the cartoon in the SPT w/Sarah shooting McCain and him saying how VicePresidential she is? That cracked me up. But not enough to vote for him.

I guess stang is 'ducking' the question about Ron Paul? What is it you like to say to Yellowdog?

qwack qwack is it?

Well? Why didn't you vote for Ron Paul and help him to win the Republican nomination? That was the only way he could possibly win this election.

I don't really expect you to respond for we all know the answer. baaaaaa baaaaaaa baaaaaaa

Why I didn't vote for Ron Paul? Because I didn't want to. I didn't like anything I heard from him. Unlike you, I never claimed to support someone only to turn my back at the last minute.

And no...I wasn't ducking questions like YellowDuck does. Our email notifications have been messed up and I don't keep flogging your blogs looking for your comments. Sorry I disappointed you. You must be used to disappointment, given that your original choice gave up/lost. But that's your fault. You should have voted for him like you said you would have.

hehehehehehehehehe...... Oh the sound of SourGrapes.....

I'm sorry you don't agree w/my choice for voting for a better America.

It is a shame Ron didn't make the Republican ticket cuz that's the only way he could have won. I did my part in voting for him in the Primary.

Had his party gotten behind him, things may be different. Instead they got behind the man who would take the NeoConTorch from TheDecider and run with it.

No thanks.

"Had his party gotten behind him, things may be different."

I agree 100%! They all abandon him like you did! You remind me of the kind of person who would change high schools because your football team lost!*lol* Moooooooooo.

No sour grapes here. In fact, had I been blogging here during Clinton, you would have seen me disagreeing with him but also backing him where it counted. After all, the president is the president. OUR president! For better or worse!

More lame 'digs'? It's becoming your SOP.

His Party was the GOP. I guess you can say the entire GOP abandoned him by not nominating him?

I guess the whole party changed high schools?

The GOP had a chance to put up a candidate that would put the priorities of WeThePeople first, second and third. No wonder they instead put up McSame.

Barack will be our President. With all the hate I'm reading in the blogosphere, he's gonna need more security than Ron Paul would have needed. And that was alot as he is against Multi-National Corporations and Foreign nations having a say in the way America is run. No wonder the GOP ignored him.

mmustangg read my blog view my photos
Nov 7, 2008 | 1:56 PM

You should have wrote him in or did you miss that blank at the bottom of the list?

BTW...I like the fact that you and Ron reject the notion of "Foreign nations having a say in the way America is run."

That's what Bush did when he told the UN to suck eggs and went after Saddam without waiting on next resolution. I'm glad you back that ideology! Remember it when Pakistan nukes our troops in Afghanistan because Barry charged over the border with guns blazing.
