I read this article over the weekend:

Brown lawn means jail time

http://www.tampabay.com/news/humaninterest/article8
47365.ece

Then low & behold I just saw this:

Man jailed for brown lawn gets help from neighbors

http://www.tampabay.com/news/humaninterest/article8
50257.ece

Well, there ya go. Perhaps the spirit of America isn't dead after all?

Cheers to Andy Law for doing something about it besides bytch at the injustice of it all.

Cheers for Andy law and a big HISSSSSS>>>>>>for the arrogant Judge W. Lowell Bray (as in the irritating sounds made by a REAL JACKASS) for putting Joe in jail WITH NO BAIL to begin with.

The Beacon woods Homeowners ASSociation and the stupidassed Judge should both be ashamed of themselves.

When I read this this morning, I thought shame on me for not thinking to do the same thing as Andy Law did. Leave it to a Marine to get the job done. whoohoo!

There is no way I would live under an HOA. No way. I don't care how great the house is. HOA's have way too much pull as we can plainly see.

They've had many, many comments. It's been wiped twice so far today. One from a supposed member of said HOA whining that brown grass makes the housing price go down. Hey bud, why didn't y'all think to do what Mr. Law did with ease? Oh that's right, how does that power-trip feel? unflippingbelievable.

I hope they publish Mr. Law's contact info. I bet he's going to be getting a lot of calls for jobs needed to be done..

Andy Law 4 Prez!

Me and a HOA would not be able to co-exist.

I would talk to them the same way I do to freak and mustangsally.

There's a big difference between saying "that's too bad" and "what can I do to help?". Could folks be returning to the old ways?

That would be nice VIT.
I could never live under the orders of a HOA.

Hey FOX, what's up w/the no-mention of Mr. Law in your broadcast? Andy Law is the one who got off his butt and actually started the process and not one mention of him in your report?? What's up w/that?

We have crime everywhere and gas prices to high and war and tons of other crimes going on but dead grass is soooo important that a man has to go to jail. Well if the community the man lives in is so friggin worried about his brown grass then why didn't the oh so powerful one's in the community go water it for the poor man?!! You could not PAY ME to live under those kind of rules. This is America after all. What a bunch of idiots!!!!

When I first had my house built in Pasco County, in 2002, there was a homeowners association which disbanded within the first year or so. Although it is now defunct, there were rules prescribed which dictated the color of paint one could utilize on your house, and what type of shrubs were allowed in your garden; and what type of grass was allowed to be included in your lawn; Saint Augustine, and no Bahaia! Seriously! DS!

Once again I would have told them where they could stick their grass{Rhymes with grass by the way}what they could do with their paint colors and planted every bush, plant and tree I could find just to be a pain in their side!! Good grief we are not a communist country people. It's called FREEDOM. Ever hear of that word?!!!!!
