The wife of nationally known pastor Joel Osteen is on trial in a civil lawsuit, accused of assaulting a flight attendant.

Sharon Brown accuses Victoria Osteen of assaulting her before the start of a 2005 flight from Houston to Vail, Colorado .

Brown alleges Victoria Osteen threw her against a bathroom door and elbowed her in the left breast during an angry outburst over a stain on her first-class seat.

The Federal Aviation Administration fined Victoria Osteen $3,000 for interfering with a crew member.

According to court documents, Brown claims that she suffers from anxiety and hemorrhoids because of the incident and said her faith was affected. She is also suing Osteen for medical expenses for counseling.

Brown also wants an apology and punitive damages amounting to 10 percent of Victoria Osteen's net worth.

Osteen's lawyer says "This is a very silly case,"

What do you think?

Conservative Radio Host Michael Savage made these comments on his radio show:

"You know what autism is? I'll tell you what autism is in 99% of the cases. It's a brat who hasn't been told to cut the act out."

Now some parents with autistic kids want him fired.

In a statement he says:

"My comments about autism were meant to holdly awaken parents and children to the medical community's attempt to label too many children and adults as autistic."

What do you think about what he said?

Should Michael Savage be fired?

What do you think about his statement?

The Iraqi Prime Minister has been handing out cash to Iraqi people, as long as it's no more than 8-thousand dollars and the same people don't get it twice.

Iraqi officials say  they're meant merely to ease the pain a bit, and are motivated by a belief that better conditions will lead to more security.

The cash handouts are part of the glut of oil money.

U.S. officials and a fed-up American public want  Iraq to spend its own money, not America's, to rebuild the country now that violence has eased.

What do you think?  Wasn't some of the oil money supposed to go to re-construction in the first place?

A local couple sold the naming rights to their unborn son for a hundred bucks!

They'll name their little boy Dixon Willoughby after

96.5 radio hosts Dixon and Willoughby.

But the mom and dad say they'll change it if the price is right and somebody comes up with more "Benjamins".

What do you think?

What would you do for a hundred bucks?

Today, doctors with The American Academy of Pediatrics are saying that kids as young as 8-years old should be given cholesterol-fighting drugs to ward off future heart problems.

Academy doctors say the new advice is based on mounting evidence showing that damage leading to heart disease begins early in life. Doctors believe that if they're more aggressive about it in childhood, they can avoid heart attacks and strokes in adulthood.

Is this a good idea to start early?

Should parents have kids pop a pill, or change their diet and exercise habits?

Is it a good idea to rely on medical science?

I know tomatoes are slowly but surely coming back on the menus of a lot of restaurants.

Mickey D's will put them back on the buns in the next week or so.

More than 200 people in nearly 2 dozen states got sick from the salmonella-tainted tomatoes.

Federal authorities still don't know why it happened but they say parts of Florida and Mexico were supplying most

of the nation's tomatoes when the outbreak began in April.

I've been missing tomatoes, but I'm a little skittish.

I know you can't live your life in fear, but what do you think?

Will you say "Hold the tomatoes" for a while, or say

"Bring 'em on?"

A German dollmaker created a 14 inch version of presumptive Democratic Nominee, Senator Barack Obama.

The Illinios Senator's doll comes complete with a pale blue tie and stars and stripes lapel pin.

The dollmaker says he paid more attention to Obama's outfit than his actual facial features.

The dolls are selling for about 200 dollars.

Check out the link for a pic of the doll, if you can't see it here:

I don't think it looks anything like Obama.

Folks in our newsroom say it looks more like

Gary Coleman. ("Arnold" from Different Strokes)

What do you think? Does it matter that it doesn't look anything like Obama?

A device aimed at preventing DUI's is causing a stir in Illinois.

It's a breathalyzer machine that's being set up in bars.

You put in a dollar, blow into a machine, and it's supposed to show you how close you are to being legally drunk.

But cops don't like it saying the machine can encourge drunk driving.

What do you think?

Why would you or wouldn't you use it after a night of drinking?

Are police correct saying it would put more drunks on the road?

A GIANT CONFEDERATE FLAG COULD SOON BE FLYING HIGH ABOVE ONE OF THE BUSIEST HIGHWAYS IN TAMPA.

A GROUP TRYING TO BRING THE FLAG TO THE AREA SAYS IT HAS ALL THE REQUIRED PERMITS.

THEY SAY IT IS PART OF THE COUNTRY'S HISTORY.

BUT THERE ARE SOME WHO SAY FLYING THE CONFEDERATE FLAG IS A BAD IDEA.

THE POLE  IS ON  U-S 92 EAST ...

IN TAMPA. THE 50 BY 30 FOOT FLAG  WILL FLY AT

139 FEET.

YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO MISS IT FROM INTERSTATE 75.

WHAT DO YOU THINK: GOOD IDEA OR BAD IDEA?  WHY?

In New York City today, a judge acquitted three detectives in the 50-shot killing of an unarmed groom-to-be on his wedding day.

Sean Bell, a 23-year-old black man, was killed in a hail of gunfire outside a seedy strip club in Queens on               Nov. 25, 2006 as he was leaving his bachelor party with two friends.

The judge, indicated when he delivered the verdict that the officers' version of events was more credible than the victims' version.

Have you been following the story?

Were you shocked, or not surprised?

Do you think racial profiling was involved?

Early this morning ... a 5.2 magnitude earthquake hit the heartland.

It rattled skycrapers in Chicago and homes in Cincinnati.

The good thing is, there haven't been any major injuries or damage.

The quake was centered six miles from

West Salem, Ill., and 66 miles from Evansville, Ind.

People felt it as far away as Milwaukee, Des Moines, and Atlanta.

The folks with the United States Geological Survey say the quake happened on the Wabash fault, a northern extension of the New Madrid fault.

I've never been in an earthquake.

Have you?   What was it like?

What are you supposed to do: hide under a desk?

Stand under a doorway?

According to the Associated Press:

Iraq's financial free ride may be over.                                 After five years, Republicans and Democrats seem to have found common ground on at least one aspect of the war.  They are looking at Iraq's surging oil income and saying Baghdad should start picking up the tab, particularly for rebuilding hospitals, roads, power lines and the rest of the shattered country.   The legislation would restrict future reconstruction dollars to loans instead of grants.

Should the "free money train" come to a halt?

Or, should Iraq get more of your tax dollars for reconstruction for free?

Former Vice President Al Gore is launching a three-year, multi-million dollar advocacy campaign calling for the country to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions.

Some advertisements will feature bipartisan pairs, such as Rev. Al Sharpton with       Rev. Pat Robertson, and Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi with former Republican Speaker Newt Gingrich.

What do you think of the bipartisan pairings?

Will this campaign work?  If not, what will it take for people to get serious about cutting greenhouse gas emissions?
