The wife of nationally known pastor Joel Osteen is on trial in a civil lawsuit, accused of assaulting a flight attendant.

Sharon Brown accuses Victoria Osteen of assaulting her before the start of a 2005 flight from Houston to Vail, Colorado .

Brown alleges Victoria Osteen threw her against a bathroom door and elbowed her in the left breast during an angry outburst over a stain on her first-class seat.

The Federal Aviation Administration fined Victoria Osteen $3,000 for interfering with a crew member.

According to court documents, Brown claims that she suffers from anxiety and hemorrhoids because of the incident and said her faith was affected. She is also suing Osteen for medical expenses for counseling.

Brown also wants an apology and punitive damages amounting to 10 percent of Victoria Osteen's net worth.

Osteen's lawyer says "This is a very silly case,"

What do you think?

Suffering from hemorrhoids because of a hit to the left breast. Hmmm, Victoria must have one vicious elbow.
No wonder Joel is such a meek looking guy.

I don't know much about Victoria, but I can't stand Joel Osteen.

Hemorrhoids?? Maybe the door knob went up her you-know-what? Hahaha, that mental picture makes me laugh!

Sounds to me like a drama queen looking for quick money.

Hemorrhoids can flare up from stress and emotional trauma, but I sure wouldn't want to be on the jury and have to look at Exhibit A in this court case. Nonetheless, a real Christian wouldn't resort to violence or fret over something as worldly as a first-class airplane seat; after all, that religion preaches meekness, simplicity, forbearance with hardships and contentment with the basics of life.

Sounds like someone going after someone who is "Known" to have a little bit of pocket change, if you ask me. Victoria Osteen has an image to upkeep; I can't imagine someone of her "status" behaving that way, at any time, especially in public!

Are there any witnesses? Or, is it a total fabrication?

Well, it seems like we might have to imagine Victoria Osteen behaving like that, Deborah. CNN reports that the Federal Aviation Administration fined her $3,000 for interfering with a crew member on that flight. The FAA's report says she pushed and elbowed the flight attendant in an attempt to get into the airplane's cockpit. The lawsuit says flight attendants then asked to have Victoria Osteen removed from the flight, but her lawyer says his client and her family left the airplane voluntarily. The incident delayed the flight two and a half hours. Fines, reports, delayed flights and Osteens leaving airplanes, voluntarily or involuntarily? Something happened there...

Something happened there...
Yes it did. All we are hearing is one side. The VERY trustworthy FAA and a flight attendant.

And the Osteens are any more trustworthy than the FAA or a flight attendant? People not causing trouble don't leave airplanes they're scheduled to fly on, delay flights for a couple of hours or rack up fines.

Like Cro said, "something happened there."
WHAT really happened is the question. Is it all about the money, OR NOT? "Things that make ya go, hmmmmm!"

Whether the Osteens left the plane voluntarily or not isn't important. The fact that the FAA fined Victoria Osteen $3,000 for interfering with a crewmember says it all. The primary purpose of a flight attendant is for the safety of the passengers. (just ask the survivors of the Air France crash). Flight attendants can empty a full aircraft in 90 seconds. All you need is an incident like this to occur at 34,000 feet in the air. My only regret is that there were not Air Marshals on board who would have nailed Victoria when she tried to enter the flight deck. Victoria needs to learn that flight attendants are there to save your butt
and not kiss it no matter who you think you are. Jet fuel is astronomical in price and you can believe that Continental was not happy with her. People on the flight very likely missed connections. Very possibly the Osteens were placed on a "no fly" list. The flight attendant deserves some type of monetary compensation. Well done Sharon!
