A German dollmaker created a 14 inch version of presumptive Democratic Nominee, Senator Barack Obama.

The Illinios Senator's doll comes complete with a pale blue tie and stars and stripes lapel pin.

The dollmaker says he paid more attention to Obama's outfit than his actual facial features.

The dolls are selling for about 200 dollars.

Check out the link for a pic of the doll, if you can't see it here:

I don't think it looks anything like Obama.

Folks in our newsroom say it looks more like

Gary Coleman. ("Arnold" from Different Strokes)

What do you think? Does it matter that it doesn't look anything like Obama?

Happy Blogging,

Mike

I agree, it does look like Gary Coleman.

Also, Obama doesn't wear a flag pin on his lepel.

Obama doesnt believe in what the US Flag stands for... I guess all those who support him are either blind sheeple, or Un-American and can be shot Or worse be fed puffer fish sushi, after the election ... ;o)

I suppose one could use it as a voo doo doll! But unfortunately I think Gary Coleman would be the one suffering!

Brenda! You read my mind! What do you say we go in on one together, and we can take turns torturing it! We'll start off by putting it out for the FERAL CATS and FERAL HOGS to nibble on, then we'll dip it in some of my homemade peach-butter, tie it to a tree, and see which one gets it first, the fire ants, the 'gators, or the bears! We'll rescue it before it's completely eaten, we'll let that HUNK Captain Jim take him for a little "Shark Dunkin'" Of course, you'll have to photograph the highlights. We'll watch for the results on FOX news, with that OTHER hunk, Alexis Brito!
LMAO!

It's to black, and from what I have heard Obama isn't black enough.

I wonder what they were thinking it does look like Gary Coleman. I do tend to wonder if they did that on purpose. Can Gary Coleman sue for slander? If so he wouldn't have to do those cheap adds any longer. And Brenda, I hope you don't mind my asking, I had to check out your avatar a little closer, is that steel toilet paper...if so that would make a novel idea for a gift for a shop full of technicians...lol. And since it took me to your page, I wanted to add, beautiful pictures.

Before you said it - I thought "what you talkin' 'bout, Obama"? LOL! Yes, it's Gary Coleman!

You may as well put a pant suit on a Shirley Temple doll and call it Hillay or use the original GI Joe as McCain.

So I wonder why they would wish to pass off a Gary Coleman doll as Obama? Put a suit and a pen on it, it still doesn't make it Obama! I must ask...Are there any other candidates dolls from the past?

BornToBeWild; I wouldn't call McCain GI Joe either LOL

It's just the concept that such dolls would look NOTHING LIKE the candidate.

Actually they could have done a much better job if they'd put a business suit on a Dr. Franklin action figure from Babylon 5 ;-)

I heard Obama was upset because the doll actually has a brain; unlike him...

D'oh!

If they want to make a Michelle obama doll where does one get a model of a black female racist like she is?

Nobama 08 will not win this election, his wife is a major racist and now people are comparing him to that fine actor Gary Coleman.

obama's book should be called the audacity of inexperience.

McCain all the way baby!

Logan...you are behind the times here...that's old news and everyone thought it put down Curious George while others think it was racist! Which do you think?

Gary Coleman doesn't think it looks like him, at all? What if he doesn't like Obama, then what?

Who would possibly want to pay $200 for a stupid doll anyway? That's three weeks worth of GAS and two quarts of that oil drink...it's a conspiracy man!
