BOSTON (AP) -- Republican campaign dropout Mitt Romney endorsed

John McCain for the party's presidential nomination and asked his

national convention delegates to swing behind the likely nominee.

"Even when the contest was close and our disagreements were

debated, the caliber of the man was apparent," the former

Massachusetts governor said, standing alongside his one-time rival

at his now-defunct campaign's headquarters.

Romney collected 280 delegates during his run through the early

primaries and caucuses, enough to move McCain close to the total of

1,191 needed to clinch the nomination a full nine months before the November general election.

Anything can happen.  But assuming McCain gets the Republican nomination over Huckabee do you think he'll pick Romney to be his V.P. running-mate?

Happy Blogging,

Mike

i doubt hell ask romney. he needs conservative votes. old, goody-goody people. dont think they will go for a mormon. thats kind of obvious now. they will be picking a fellow republican wfo is in agreement with the war on terror, and will help mccain get done what needs to be done. and the people like.. the more i think about it the more Gulini comes to mind..

Wouldn't doubt if he picks Thompson since those two were peas in a pod with George W. back in 2000. But honestly... McCain, Romney, Giuliani, and Thompson are cookie cutter followers of George W. Bush ... and so are Clinton and Obama for that matter.. don't let any of them fool you.. they are all paid for by the same Private Banks that are bankrupting America and they have the same agenda that has put us in the situation we are in now.

I recommend not to invest in Gold but to buy it and keep it hidden in your mattress.

You said it TT
There is nothing to be done by election that is going to stop what is about to happen. We are on the verge of losing our national sovereignty, and our leaders republican and democrat are moving it forward and cover it up. google CFR and "sovereignty and globalization" and see what the CFR's pres says himself. ALL candidates, save Ron Paul are members. Major media heads are part of it. Check out SPP.gov. This is the inception of the NAU. THESE LONG, DRAWN OUT ELECTIONS ARE PART OF THE DISTRACTION

It's the same model as the EU. First the free trade agreements, then the currency and borders, and then common laws and a central parliment. They tout it alot more openly on the Mexican side. Check it out

truthwillsetyoufree, isn't it great to realize that long drawn out elections at least serve some purpose?

I don't think Romey would accept. After all, he wants another chance at being president in 2012 and McCain could only be a liability in that case. He'll probably choose some liberal Republican governor.
