Entertainers And Steroids?

A New York State newspaper is reporting  a number of entertainers were named in connection with an             Albany-based steroid investigation, but they are not part of an ongoing criminal probe.

The Times Union of Albany cited unidentified law enforcement officials in reporting that R&B music star Mary J. Blige, rap musicians 50 Cent, Timbaland and Wyclef Jean, and award-winning author and producer Tyler Perry may have received or used  performance-enhancing drugs.

Law enforcement officials have said evidence does not indicate that the celebrities broke the law, but that investigators are focusing on doctors, pharmacists and clinics that provide the drugs.

If it's true, what would an entertainer need steriods for?  Would it be for endurance during their performances?

People hear the word "steroids" and they instantly freak out. Doctors have been prescribing steroids for years. They aren't evil by nature. This is no different than the sugarfree gum that's killing people. Abuse any thing and it's dangerous.

Stop being played like fools people. This big steroid issue is nothing more than media hype and politicians trying to make a name for themselves.

If you want them out of sports then don't support the sports where athletes use them. Stop watching football & bodybuilding. As for getting them out of the entertainment industry...LOL, do you really think actors don't use drugs? Be real. Steroids are probably the safest and weakest drugs they use. How many people have you heard that killed someone because they were on steroids? Now how many killed someone because they were drunk or on hallucinogenic drugs?

Media and politicians dying for attention even if they need to create a story. Nothing more.
