No one seems to be talking about this much.  NASA plans to lay off thousands of workers after 2010 when the space shuttle retires.  I am retired but know many people in the industry.  Does anyone realize how devastating this is going to be for Florida's economy?

It is going to be one of the worst things to hit Brevard county. Talk about things go to H*** in a bucket. Brevard is already doing bad and this will be the end all to the small business owners.

This has happened before in Brevard after the moon missions. To live there and work there you have to be ready for it and be use to it.

I understand that there are some managers that are providing training for their employees to receive training that will enable them to get jobs elsewhere.
