I don't care what the experts are saying.  I'm going to retire in the near future and I AM WORRIED about my investments. Property and 401k.

It makes me sick that the fed. government did not do an adequate job of regulating lenders!!  If it had done so, we wouldn't be in this financial crisis to begin with.

Flood Insurance

Thank goodness we have flood insurance because Fay dumped a lot of rain on our patio which almost got in the house.

I feel bad for those people in Melbourne who got flooded out and don't have insurance.

In Florida, I found flood insurance comes in handy.

NASA LAY OFFS

No one seems to be talking about this much.  NASA plans to lay off thousands of workers after 2010 when the space shuttle retires.  I am retired but know many people in the industry.  Does anyone realize how devastating this is going to be for Florida's economy?
