I love to hear my music loud, but never as loud as some people play it!

I sometimes wonder if they can actually hear the song or music they are playing.

A lot of times, I think they can only hear the "BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM".

It is so distracting!

They have laws against it

They do it to impress the chicks

I enjoy pulling up next to them in traffic, boom boom boom boom-------Silence. Until Im out of ear range... LOL

I did have one that continued to boom louder at a traffic light. I got out and walked around his vibrating honda tapped him on the shoulder, then asked for licence registration & proof of insurance. Poor guy I scared him so bad he almost ran into the car ahead of him.

I got 4-5 thumbs up for that one, I took up 25mins of his time. He got a 76.00 sound ticket and was late for class... He now knows to pay attention to his suroundings when sitting at a light..

Lets start with history :)
When American workers were beginning to enter the middle of the industrial age something intresting was happening. Employees who worked in factories with big machines were getting sick! Symptoms included cancer, irregualr heartbeats, migrains and much more. The government was forced to act in this matter. The findings were very shocking. Employees were already being protected from high frequency sounds being produced from the giant machines with ear plugs but what they werent being protected from was the low frequency sound waves that were being emited from the machines. These are sounds you cannot hear because they are too low for the human ear to hear. Low frequency sound waves are DANGEROUS! Its is nice when you feel music but when you really FEEL it you are killing yourself by increasing your chances of cancer, heart complications and increase chance of a shorter life span. The lower and distorted the boom the more dangerous it it. These soundwaves shake the living daylights out of your cells and organs without you feeling it. So these boom boys are killing themselfs for the fun of it.

I laugh so hard at them.. Some of them have more money in that system than the car is worth and all it does is skake and rattle the rust lose. And you know what makes them mad ? people who don't look.. They look for ppl looking at them, so lame.

they are just plain ANNOYING..........and have no respect for others........I am LUCKY...and you guys should too......go to Newark, NJ....you will be deaf by the time you leave......and as far as I know NO LAWS THERE.......DAY in and Day out.....you couldn't sleep in the day or in the night..somebody shoot 'em

Mator1, then this will really set you off, Federal signal has just come out with a new siren for Emergency Vehicles that uses the smae BASS BOOM so you not only hear the siren but feel it...They are testing them here in Florida....There are laws on the books about loud Music, they don't enforce it--75 DB'S..Most County's don't or won't buy the meters to check the output..

I also agree with amyk. I'll invest in miracle ear or some of the other hearing aid companies.
When these inconsiderate idiots get a little older they will need the hearing aids. Stocks go up.

Been do some playing around with some Radio equiptment and found when on the right Feq I can broadcast over the stereo boom boxes and scares the hell out of them to hear someone talking to them in there car!! FREAKS THEM OUT

The law says 25' for a ticket cost of $76.00 and 15-20mins on the roadside..

Most of the time officers are going call to call or sitting somewhere riting a report, and dont have the time to pull them over. which is a real shame..

But the Ticket Nazi's will get them sooner or later..

My pet peeve are those people that stop in a 7-11 and leave their cars running. thats a 80.00 ticket and hard to explain to the insurance co when the cars stolen..

we had one on Friday the lady left her 2month old in the car running and went shopping!?!
Needless to say for the 1/2 hour she was shopping was more than enough time for DCF to get there and greet her at the car.... (Stupid People) the mother was 23 yrs old.....(hard lesson to learn for her)

The reason it doesn't go against your driving record is because it's not a moving or vehicle violation, it's a noice ordinant. Tricker situation but yes needs work for improvement! What we need is something better specified which could cover both on the road and residental!

MATER01..I would have given anything to have one of those boom speakers...while listening to Fly like an Eagle this morning...toot toot
