If one life was ended because of a massive rush to purchase anything on Friday, then this day needs to cease to exist.  America, how many wake up calls do we need...  if people are dying because of someones excitement to BUY" something...we are in tragic trouble... 

Stop giving the retailers this power...  if they can lower a price on something one day a year, they can lower those prices all year long..give me a break..  houses are overpriced, gas "was" overpriced, groceries are now overpriced...clothes shoes etc etc etc..  take back the power!!!!  STOP buying all the luxaries this country has made into necessities..  Be happy with what you have..  give small gifts of love this Christmas season...  do a kind deed.. in our home Christmas is a time to remember the birth of our Savior..if in your home it is about giving, then give to charity....our youth need lessons of life that will teach them about something other then themselves..so let this season be the time we turn back the clock and start teaching the lessons we learned as children!!  It wasn't about the gifts under the tree...it was about being thankul, family, joy, remembrance...NOT A GIFT THAT MAY HAVE BEEN PURCHASED WHILE SOMEONE LOST THEIR LIFE...!!!

This isn't a joke...  time to wake up America...  this is the kind of thing we stand for???  I am deeply saddened and only pray we start changing things in this land!

Hey.. remember the commercial with McCain seeing Bush in the mirror.. I believe Obama made it come true, only he is seeing CLINTONS in the mirror..  so much for CHANGE...  we have Clinton this and that...  Obama is appearing to be what I thought..all talk....  now he is gettiing called on it by the media (to little to late) and refusing to say the big words, I LIED!!!!  He needs to just say it...  during campaigns we lie, cheat and steal to get what we want...he threw Hilary in front of every bus...but now feels she is qualified to do more then throw a tea party..  Give me a break... 

I notice, he isn't so eloquent anymore...Mr. President elect...I continue to pray for you...and the reigning Clinton royalty....  I can't believe she said yes....I am happy to see the venom has been held back......

Pray for America!!!

Had to share..  many have read and commented on my posts with regards to Leesburg High School and violence and unsafe situations that seem to plague the environment there. Well today, the students will be having a presentation from the family and friends of Rachel Joy Scott, one of the victims of the Columbine High School shootings.  This is close to my own heart, being that I only moved here from Denver a year ago. 

I guess some will call it a coincidence...however...  to have this presentation on this day, is truly a miracle to me.  I don't believe in coincidence, and I believe those who do, miss out on what faith and hope is all about!!    Sometimes things are just God things!!  He knew these students needed this message now more then ever!!! 

They are offereing another presentation tonight at 7pm...  for community and parents of the students...if you are in the area and would like to go!

When did his name change to Usama Bin Laden??  I was talking to my mom in Colorado, she says it is still Osama Bin Laden on news reports there..

guess it doesn't matter much, however, would love to know why it is different now??? 

I've gotten alittle frustrated over the rioting surronding the California elections with regards to definition of marriage.  Just today, I heard Mellisa Ethridge threaten to NOT pay taxes because of the outcome..

Well listen up..from a woman across the nation..I keep hearing the PEOPLE spoke when it comes to Obama now being president elect..  Why can't those people say the same thing about Marriage???  THE PEOPLE SPOKE...it is what the majority of Californians want apparently..here in Florida we had to have much more then majority...it had to be 60%..  (that was fair?)  And the People spoke!!

Thought I would ask a whole new question...finally!!!  LOL..

So with the holiday season fast approaching (and started before Halloween according to the retailers), what do people in Florida do for their community?  Are there opportunities to volunteer, and where does one look to help out.  We moved in the middle of December last year, so we had no season of giving whatsoever.. we had a season of unpacking, buying a house, and adjusting to summer in winter!!... do you take time to give to your community?  And what do you do??

so Floridians...is Christmas a time of giving out here?  Is it all about presents under the tree??  My kids took part in Operation Christmas Child in Colorado, and found their gift in that...  we have streamlined the part of Christmas that involves gift giving in our home..  but would love to help do something.....and with all the financial woes out there, there has to be a need this season...

Lets start talking about what we can do as a community outreach...

Educate the new neighbors!!!

I have to post this.and I have to post it to the community I live in.

Please be in prayer for Leesburg High school.  Since Tuesday, it has become more of a segregated mess.  

There are some serious issues..multiple suspensions..  these kids need our prayers. 

I am searching for a way to help.. I am seeking counsel with the Lord and my pastor..

Please pray!

To the youth of Central Florida, Leesburg area...  you have now witnessed a historical moment in world history.  Why world? Because to this day, our neighbors to the east, Europe, among others, have yet to ever elect a black man to an equal position of authority as our President of the United States.  You have witnessed a defiining moment in time.  Did you think it was only America that had never crossed this hurdle??

Yet, you are acting like fools.  For some, the belief that the outcome of this election has somehow lifted them to positions of power in the community.  For some, they walk hallways of our tax payer provided facilities screaming some of the most obscene, foul language I have ever heard against black people.  Did you know that lunchrooms have become segragated among race at Leesburg Highschool?  Did you know that  OUR children are calling it RACE WARS?

I do not believe this was what Barack Obama intended when he became our next president?  And this is what America has to look forward to in the future?  What have these kids been taught? 

We live in a diverse state, yet our youth are racist, power hungry, uneducated spokespeople for our part of the U.S.?  They want so badly to be in power of something , anything, they rely on violence, intimidation, and now race wars to find that power.  People, why this need?  Why?  They believe the answer to everything lies with some kind of power over other people?  Do we know how to teach acceptance in diversity?  Do we know how to teach these kids that until you have succeeded in your own life, by standards that you set for yourself, it doesn't matter.  And that those standards dont have to be the best car, the best house, the most money?  To our youth there are two levels, bottom and top...is this the message that America now sends..that there is no happy medium.  That between the two, you won't be ok, you won't be happy, you aren't successful?  These kids don't get it. 

I believe the last couple of generations didn't care.  They had everything handed to them.  Even kids I see in lower income areas walk around with cell phones and high name clothing.  I believe this next generation cares, but only about themselves.  They aren't seeing anything more then where can I get my power.  They have watched this election with a single vision.. a black man has ALL the power...  These are the things YOUR children are saying in school hallways.  And they think that same power is now THEIRS!  What has happened here?

There was a time when you set goals, and you worked hard to achieve them.  You didn't worry what the white man down the street was doing, the hispanic man over there was doing, or the asian lady was doing...You worried about yourself and YOUR own pursuit of the American Dream.  Newsflash..  Barack Obama is the President today.  Are you still living where you did on Monday?  Are you still at the same school you were at on Monday?  Do you have a better car then you did on Monday?  NO!!  You are in the same place, it is the same year 2008..the year ONE man accomplished HIS goal!!  If you want to be PROUD, be proud of Barack Obama...YOU didn't get HIS education,  YOU didn't become a senator.  YOU WERE NOT ELECTED!!  This is a moment in history, the moment AMERICA elected a BLACK MAN!  This defines a COUNTRY, it does NOT DEFINE YOU!  Black people alone DID NOT elect this man, AMERICANS DID!!! 

So stop running your mouths, black, white, brown...whatever else...  This is an AMERICAN moment, this election has NOT elevated any of us to anything more then we were on MONDAY!!!  And it has NOT indicated that you are now something less!!!

YOU ALONE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DEFINE WHO YOU ARE..NOT AS A RACE..NOT AS A NATION..BUT AS YOU, THE INDIVIDUAL...

I have asked this question to a few people this week.... no one seems to know the answer..so I thought I'd send it out to my fellow bloggers in hopes of understanding...  bare with my lack of knowledge!!

When we hear that the "feds have cut interest rates.."  What exactly are they referring to..which interest rates?  I have many friends who have purchased homes over the last few years ( I am one of them..)  We didn't have squeeky clean credit, so we got a rate of 6.25%..our friends with A+ credite, got the same rate??  I have yet to find one person who got the low rates down in the 5% range that I heard about....  when they say they cut rates is it on home loans, credit cards (which I have NEVER seen) or some kind of big business loans that are over my head (though the whole subject proves to be over my head)..  I would like to understand, especially after just hearing the Bank of England cut rates by over 1%!!!!

For years now, I have heard Christians say, we need to stand up and speak..

IT IS TIME!!!

I am tired of God being removed from every corner of this country.  I am tired of kids being ridiculed for their beliefs.  I am tired of schools overstepping the boundaries and making kids with Jesus costumes, go home and change!

God gave us voices, let us be heard.  We DO believe in the life, death, resurrection of Jesus Christ!  We are not here to OFFEND you because of our belief, however, NOR do we care that you get offended.  This is the one thing I will not take into the "politically correct" arena. 

When I sit at a football game and you collapse in front of me for unknown reasons, I WILL PRAY FOR YOU!

When I hear you in the grocery line talking of death or illness among your family, I WILL PRAY FOR YOU!

When we are sitting together in an arena, and you tell me you just lost your job, I WILL PRAY FOR YOU!

When I see you packiing and moving out of your home due to foreclosure or just a move to a new home, I WILL PRAY FOR YOU!

If your child is sick, I WILL PRAY FOR THEM!

If your parents are ill, I WILL PRAY FOR THEM!

I will NOT apologize for calling on the name of Jesus on your behalf.  I will not apologize for praying over safety in the schools.  I will not apologize for playing inspirational music!  I will not STOP praying for YOU..I will NOT stop speaking of the power of our GOD in heaven, I will NOT stop!!   I WILL NOT STOP!!!

...and you can keep ridiculing me all you want..you can mock me all you want..you can disturb my worldly peace, you can not remove my Spiritual peace..YOUR WORDS only make me stronger and MORE vocal..your words make me PRAY for YOU even more! 

Thank you for the inspiration!!!!  GOD appreciates it!

never be heard again!  I pray today that I never hear another black person tell me that they don't have the same opportunities as everyone else.  I pray that I never hear of racism against blacks again! 

You have a shining example of faith, endurance, and courage to look upon.  A man who fought opinions because he is biracial..  A man who stayed focused on his education and didn't go around shooting his neighbors over drugs, or guns.  A man that sought the American dream, and believed in himself to get up and do something! 

He is educated, eloquent, and respectful...of his wife, kids, family, and country..may my daugther find this same respect in the hallways of her school!

May the black population take a lesson...this is what America is about..you ask the rest of the country to move past the racism era..it is done...NOW join in and move past your reverse racism era!!

Tonight I pray.  A man with a questionable background, ties, and ideals has won the most powerful office in the world.  A man that sat in church for 20 years listening to the racist remarks of a man who says he is from God.  That alone turned me away. but now I pray...

  I am a christian woman.  I have stood before my God and accepted His forgiveness and love, and will now kneel before my God and ask for his protection and guidance be given to this new president.  He claims to be a christian..I pray I see that in his decisions, his words, his character..I pray that when he takes that office, he thanks his God in heaven. 

I pray that the words he shared come to life..in that he will reach across party lines for the good of the people.  I pray to see bipartisan choices for his cabinet, as he stated.  I pray that the hands he shakes along his walk will not lead to another 9/11, as we witnessed with Clinton shaking the hand of Osama bin Laden.  I pray that people who work hard for what they have, keep the money they rightly deserve.  I pray that our borders will be made secure against illegal immigrants.  I pray that we might find reconciliation to the rest of the world, as stated on the campaign road.  I pray for the family of Barrack Obama, I pray for their safety and well being over the next four years. 

I pray to let go of the disappointment I feel today, and know one thing..  God is still here, God still controls MY life, God has the power to show anyone He is God!

One thing I have learned through this election, we have two different Americas these days.  Two different sets of people living under one roof.  What is liberal America and conservative America?  Does one have a stronger patriotic stance then the other.  Does one support life more then the other?  Does one support choice of lifestyle over the other?  Does one support a bigger or smaller government over the other?  Does one still believe in the American dream being a personal accomplish over accomplishment for all?  Why has America split as it has? 

I miss the days when life was given precedance.  If abortion wasn't used as a means of birth control,, which is its biggest reason to exist, not rape cases or life threatening conditions, maybe it wouldn't be so bad.  If domestic partners were of a man and woman (as Florida commercials are trying to suggest), it may be acceptable to me.  If our Supreme Court was made of non partisan judges, that held no affiliation, I might believe in them to use sound judgement and common sense in handling our national law.  If freedom of speech still entailed "truth" and decency, never stepping on the freedoms of others, I might be ok with news media and print news..

What I do know is this..  Among the world, America is no longer anything "good"..we are a joke.  A joke!!  We are indecent, scandalous people with no morals, not socially or financially.  We carry the biggest world debt, and we never pay it back.  In America, your credit is everything, yet we ask the world to turn its head on our lack of responsibility like we are above everyone else.  This is a big reason on why "they" hate us!  We hold to no standards, in anything.  The land of the free is just that, free to do and what we please, no matter the consequence.  This is AMERICA not the American government I am talking about.  We still think we are better then everyone else.  I would rather turn back the time..live in a time when it was NOT common to divorce, not common for women to work outside of the home, not common to even conceive of abortion clinics, not common to see men marrying men or women marrying women, not common for teenagers to walk around with 3 kids, not common to own 4 televisions, not common to murder someone and live in a souped up  jail facility for the rest of your life on pending appeals, or in some cases-never having capital punishment carried out.  This list of the what was NOT common could go on and on...  where did the "changes" that brought about this America come from?  Is it tied to a political party in some way??  I believe it is.  The things I mention, that bother me, are liberal points of view...

That was CHANGE I could have done without!

Here's a question for America..  no one is particularly impressed with their selections..people are stating they are choosing from the lesser of two evils..

Why is no one talking about the other 11 parties running for presidency on this years ballot?  Perhaps it is time to break the "party selected norms" right OPEN!!!!  Start helping these other parties get more funding and make sense out of what they are running for!!!  Maybe if we are all sick of what we have going on in Washington, we might find something worth caring about in the other arenas!!!!  I didn't even know there were that many different parties out there....  Amazing!!!

I find it somewhat insane and hysterical at the same time, that the same frustrations arise, yet we continue down the same paths of republican or democrat...I have long wanted a party in the middle.... 

This man seems to keep close ties to questionable characters until the media gets involved, then SUDDENLY, after years of loyalty, Obama "denounces" them and runs..

I.E. Ayers and Trinity United Church of Christ!  If people can't read through his hypocrisy, America deserves what she is going through!!!  This man is simply putting on a performance for the camera's...and does what it takes to 'appear' real...

Give me a break..I'm not buying your scam...  You have covinced many with your eloquent words that float like honey, but will sting in the end...
