I can hardly wait to see the replies to this one. There are so many homophobes out there this should bring them screaming out from under whatever rocks they live.

No, he's not a man. At least he wasn't born one. He was born a female with all the appropriate parts and he/she underwent sex re-assignment. He is married to his long time girlfriend, who has been with him since he was a 'woman'. Even though he had the surgery, he still has his ovaries, his uterus and his womb, and he was artificially inseminated. Now they are expecting a baby girl.

And everyone is screaming for his head.( I call him he because that is how he refers to himself.) Why? Does it really matter all that much if a gay couple or a trans-sexual couple or a trans-gendered couple become parents as long as the child has a loving home with two parents to love, protect and nurture it? Should a child be denied love and security because the people who choose to give it life are not what society calls normal?

I'm curious as to how you all react to this news. Comments?

Last night my sister called me all excited to switch to Oprah and see the pregnant man, I was like "what the heck......" When I realized this pregnant "man" was actually born female, I was no longer shocked, to me it's just nature. Sexual reassignment does not change God's creation - female. If all the reproductive organs are still in place then I do not see anything abnormal about giving life to a child. It may seem a little strange but it is what it is, and I'll keep them in my prayers.

Homophobe? Nice try Rucker. How about the Freakophobe or Circus-side-showophobe or Unnatural-leftwing-liberalagenda-ophobe? If they were doing the artifical insemination for pure reasons, why have the transexual that wanted to look like a man be the carrier? Sorry but they are sick people with a sick agenda. I truly feel pity for them while I detest their agenda of attempting to normalize deviance.

It’s NICE to see yet ANOTHER example of Liberal Hypocracy here…It’s NOT the name calling,,NOR is it the PHOBIA behind it,,,that’s being condemned here,,it’s ONLY the direction OF that name calling and condemnation…THIS post is a PRIME example of that...Intolerance ISN’T being eradicated by those High Horse Morally Superior Liberals who condemn ALL of those they disagree with..Indeed,,THAT’S not even being attempted nor is it even the Goal at all….Condemnation is ONLY being redirected.to those of whom the Liberals disapprove of...

I don't watch Oprah but I saw this whatever he is on GMA and it actually turned my stomache to see this pregnant wanna be man. And to think he is going to raise a child makes me even more naucious. It's not how God intended it to be and these people are disgusting. I'm sure he will make the bucks from the media and TV shows. And to inseminate this awful being (human I don't know) they should be ashamed. A Freak show with a baby that has to suffer from it.

Candy, don't pull that junk and say God is Good to cover yourself. Do you think God looks on this feakish pervision of His natural laws with approval and good feelings. If you want to know how God view this distortion of His created order, read about the judgment of Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis.

I like the way Rucker tries to back people in the corner, but preemptively calling them names if they reject her ridiculous opinion in her post...."they inseminated him..." I agree with didaskalos, it's a "Freak Show." That kid, regardless of how much it's loved, will have some serious sorting out issues. Rucker, just curious, what kind of morals do you have anyway if you think this is "ok?" Put down that vodka and get your head examined.

Why would the world bother with news like these and there are more important things to cover. This "person" will always be a female no matter how they change their body. Apparently she got pregnant before the final change. I feel sorry for this child who is going to be born into this "freakish" family.

Everything happens for a reason. Although I feel there are already too many people in this world, this child obviously is meant to be born by whatever means necessary. Who are we to question the actions of whatever higher power we believe in?

"And everyone is screaming for his head."

I'm not screaming for anyone's head. I just believe what I believe. I would never do anything to impede on this person's happiness, but that doesn't mean that I have to be forced to condone it.

People like these expect us to accept them the way they are. In fact, they often demand it. What they don't realize, however, is that they, in turn, need to accept people who don't condone their behavior as the way *they* are. It works both ways.

I give the guy credit for originality. This feat will give them the financial freedom we all wish for. It has already got him on Oprahs show. I also believe this freak will burn in hell when it comes time to pay the piper. In a way, I kinda wish I had thought of that a long time ago. Oh well, there has to be a hook out there for me.

TM, I didn't backk anybody into a corner, you back yourselves with your own words.
J_Darrowin, if you read some of the posts on other blogs about this, you'll see folks are definitely unstrung over this one.
signal, you're right.
But just to clear the air, TM I don't drink, I don't smoke, and sure as hell don't let others influence my thinking.
My philosophy; live and let live. If people would be as critical of their own lives as they are of others, this world would be a hell of a lot nicer place to live.
You disagree with me? Tough!!

Hiccupp** pour another one, and relax....
I thought you were supposed to be an author?
Either your keyboard's getting blurry, or you can't spell too well.

Nevertheless, "living and let live," is nice, but too many liberals take it way too far, to the point where it DOES infringe on the lives of others, and that's NOT their right to do so; i.e., there are many children, right now, being exposed to that freak show, along with Gay marriages, etc., and that's just morally wrong. If you cannot understand that, perhaps you're not a drunk, but simply an idiot. Which is it?

Crone61 - You said, "Who are we to question the actions of whatever higher power we believe in?" I could agree with you if this was of divine origin, but it is not. As a practioner of natural religion I don't understand you defense of this unnatural human action.

Rucker - "Live and let live" you say. Does that include those who want to harm others? If not, then your philosophy is seriously flawed and fundamentally worthless. If so, then you should have no probelms with murderers, rapists, pedophiles, thieves, Hitler, Jim Jones, and Osama bin Laden.

If you are okay with those groups and individuals, then at least you are consistent with your philosophy of live and let live ... bad choice in my opinion, but at least consistent. Letting them "live" as they want means that they improve their position by taking advantage of others. Without morals standard and a justice system, anarchy reigns.

I have, actually. Like I said *I* am not screaming for anyone's head. I never said anything about anyone else. Yes, there are definately folks out there unstrung about this, I won't argue with that.

My live and let live philosophy certainly does not include murderers, rapists or any others that would deliberately set out to harm another. I'm just curious how it is that you see this couple's actions as infringing on anyone else's rights or taking advantage of others.
And how exactly does this instance become a political issue?
TM you really have issues with anyone who dares to disagree with your narrow minded view of the world, don't you?

Rucker, just to be clear. EVERYONE allows others to influence their thinking, including you. We are all products of our society in many aspects. I do like your post, it was thought provoking. I'm not a homophobe, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express one time.

As far as the "freakiness" of this, it is not natural at all.

As for Oprah, and I know I'll get flack for this, she is leading people straight to hell with the crap she promotes on her show. I won't watch her anymore.

For those who don't believe in hell? Just because you don't believe in something does not mean it is not true. There are still people who believe the world is flat.

haha...you're the one that posted the trash to begin with...gee, isn't that part of your post above? You got some serious issues, granny. I've more than an open mind; I just don't agree with those that want to commit sins, and other moral-killing acts. Too many people, like you, feel, "Well, it's ok..." When you should be realizing that these atrocities should be condemned, not supported and given a celebrity status. We have troops fighting to keep this country terrorist free, and what's the headline? A pregnant man or whatever it is...live and let live? That's crap. I wouldn't say I'm narrowminded, I just have standards, try them sometime.

If the "Person" is classified as a man, It should be revoked, since "He" can NOT be pregnent. Gender Re-assignment is OK (I Guess), but once "It" became pregnant, it's status should be reverted back to Female, and the marrage and all rights that go along with that, should be revoked......

Rucker - did you really miss my point? When you say, "My live and let live philosophy certainly does not include murderers, rapists or any others that would deliberately set out to harm another" you are NOT letting them live as they want, thereby contradicting your own declared philosophy. Whether the freak couple is harming anyone else is not relevant to the argument as I do not embrace your philosophy.

When Oprah touches the topic of morality, it becomes political. Since when has the homosexual agenda NOT been political ... especially with the constant seeking of special rights to try and legitimize their unnatural, deviant behavoir?

Sorry, but this is neither a man nor a woman. If anything it is a horribly mulitated woman.
What are all these male hormones doing to the fetus?
I am liberal.
Others can do whatever they want behind closed doors as long as they don't hurt anyone else.
But, please, I don't want to hear about it.
Close the @#$% door!
I don't care if they marry.
It is none of my business.
They live together, write joint returns, inherit from eachother, divorce, be as miserable as the rest of us.
I just don't care.
Maybe it will help contain STDs.
Here comes another media event; OJ the wife killer, Clinton the pig, I'm not watching!
Once Oprah was a good show. Now it is all about her money. I give. I buy. Oprah and Obama. I am every woman. Well, I stopped watching.

NOT A VALID QUESTION...
A MAN has no say in this matter, only the Women with child does.....

"IT" MUST be declared FEMALE, and lose all it's marital rights.......
When "It" choose to become pregnant, it should have been reverted to "FEMALE" Status.....
