Do these polls drive the rest of you as crazy as they do me? It's no wonder the political system is so screwed up. If politicians base their campaigns on the results of those things, its no wonder this ridiculous Democratic race is still going on and beginning to grate on the nerves of most sane people!

This morning on GMA  they gave the results from two separate and supposedly accurate polls. The CNN and the Gallup. In the Gallup poll, Clinton had surged ahead of Obama by a margin of 49 to 43 percent with a 3 percent margin of error. In the CNN poll taken during the same time period, the CNN poll shows Obama ahead  52 to 45 percent with the same margin for error. USA Todays/Gallup poll for March 16th shows Obama ahead 49 to 42 percent.

So, my guess is that the media has decided to keep this nonsense alive and kicking through June by conducting these ridiculous polls. Now, as anyone who has ever voted in one of those polls knows, the people you ask directly dictate the outcome of the poll.

If I stood outside of a Clinton Campaign office for three hours and polled those who came in or out of the place,, and then walked over to an Obama Campaign office and stood there for an hour polling those who walked in and out of that place, it's a pretty safe bet that Clinton would come out on top in that 'scientific' poll.

Polls are rigged, just as everything else in these campaigns. The media in this case is having a field day. They get to keep the attention on their various newscasts by conducting these polls and keeping people tuned in to see who's ahead.

Regardless of these rigged polls, Obama is clearly ahead in pledged delegates and in the popular vote and all the polls in the world aren't likely to change that.

So, here's my very own poll.

"What do you think of polling results?"

Polling doesn't work. I could walk around my neighborhood and ask everyone who they are voting for. 90% would say McCain because I live in a neighborhood where there aren't very many stupid people. so McCain is ahead 90-10. However, If i go into Sanford FL where there do heppen to be a lot of stupid people, they would probably be for Hilary. You can get any kind of result you want just by picking location.

Ummmm Sorrento_Dude, I live in Sanford. You might want to re-think that! LOL! But, yeah, polls are a waste of time and effort.

Sanford was just a joke. I was only trying to make a point.

Well, I think the pollsters poll the people they want to, to get thier own desired results.

They are unreliable, and misleading.

I've learned to ignore polls. They're rarely accurate, not to mention that people will frequently lie to the pollster in an effort to make themselves look better at the time.

Every time one of these idiot pollsters approach me, I sue two words, NOT INTERESTED and keep walking briskly away as fast as I can.

I agree, they are rigged, fixed or whatever name you want to give it, I find them rarely accurate and totally useless.

Poll's are an important part of the political process but they cant be always be seen as accurate. There is always a margin of error. I want to see this go into June, there are still several states that are have to hold their primaries.

People who are asking for Hillary to bow out, are generally afraid she might win the nomination if she hangs on.

The polls say that Obama has a better chance of beating McCain in the election. So I think, the polls you dislike so much are the reason most people want Hillary to bow out.

I think as it is shaping up now the Republicans will lose the next election. So why worry about whether hillary bows out or not.

Either way the polls are a neccessary process for any politician. After all politicians are supposed to support the people and a quick way to find out what the people want is to poll them.

Are there any poll results regarding the use of polls?

Good one shadows. But I would love to see the statistics on how accurate the polls have been over the years.
That may give new respect/disrespect to the whole polling process!

Sageman, was reading about a poll that was taken 2 weeks ago.

It said if the election were held tomorrow, McCain would easily beat either of the 2 demos.

Sageman , do you really think that Obama would beat McCain in the general election? I don't think either Clinton or Obama will be able to win the general election because of the crap they've been pulling during this nominating race. Her supporters have claimed they'll vote for McCain if Obama wins and Obama's claim they'll vote McCain if she wins it and the independents are still fence sitting.
Yeah I read the same poll results. As it now stands McCain would beat either of them.
