Football season is here, and we're working all night to get ready with our Fox Hilites preseason cram sessions!

Trinity Christian's Eagles turned heads statewide with their incredible late-season run in 2007. The Eagles gave up 12 points in the month of October - that's right, 12 points in A MONTH - then blasted through the first two rounds of the playoffs. Fans in Deltona were talking state title, but FAMU High ended those dreams in the state semis last December.

It wasn't like the success was unprecedented - Trinity Christian made it to the regional finals in 2006. But last year's run was something really special, and it has the program as hungry as ever for another shot at the Citrus Bowl.

14 seniors are gone (a high number for such a small school), and we may not see those gaudy numbers like we did in 2007 (the Eagles broke the 50 point barrier in four different games), but expect the wins to keep piling up. The returning players who remember last year's playoff run will use that experience when November comes, and A.J. Johnson's bunch thinks the combination is there to go all the way to the state title game.
