Two more failing banks have been taken over by federal regulators. All branches of 1st National Bank of Nevada and First Heritage Bank, operating in Nevada, Arizona and California, have been closed. They'll reopen Monday under a new name, and officials say customers' deposits are secure.

What are your thoughts on the list of banks that are failing?  Blog it here.

I tell you Keith, I'm getting to a point where I don't know who to believe when a bank says customers deposits are secure. I have a large CD in a local Florida bank and wonder if it is safe. I may put it elsewhere like cash it out and put it away because I don't trust todays economy at all. It seems to me that if it's tied up in a CD such as mine is and they closed the bank, it would be my luck that it would be gone and considering all I have to depend on is the CD, it truly worries me.

First, the House and Senate wrote the rules that regulate the loan industry and probably deserve to be charged for a criminal act as well ! Second, those that recieved the loans that haven't the means to make or manage money, let alone repay a loan, don't deserve a shoulder to cry on either ! There's also undoubtably quite a few scumbag lawyers involved in this as well, a very brief and legal open hunting season would eleminate most of this !

I really don't “get it” Keith can you add more information on the “failing” part here...if I fail someone does not get paid , so this bank is what going bankrupt and not paying its debts ? ...
