A fourteen year old boy gets shot overnight in Daytona Beach.  He was in a car around midnight, when there was an argument with people in another car.  The people in the second car alledgedly fired four shots and he was hit twice.

What are your thoughts on people resorting to violence so quickly when there's a disagreement?  What are your thoughts on a fourteen year old being out at midnight?

Blog it all here.

Parents are not doing their job and the shooter is a bad shot.

I can remember living in the country and being out walking late at night, but times were different then. You didn't have to worry about being gunned down or hurt. Now I'm a grown woman and I wouldn't be out now if I didn't have to. Everyone has an appointed time to die...but the grimm reaper will have to come looking for me.
You can't even have a birthday party for your kids or a halloween party for your kids that someone doesn't get shot, what's this world coming to? How Sad

What the heck was a 14 year old doing out at midnight?
As for the violence...that's become the norm now days. It's really sad that some punk doesn't want to take a chance at getting whooped, so they pull a gun and shoot.

Parents need to teach their kids that not everyone is going to agree with them all the time and that it's alright not to agree with someone.

Look at the muslim extremist. If someone doesn't agree with their point of view, they send in suicide bombers. Same difference.

i fear for my sons safety everyday of the week and i live in deltona, and he is 18 yrs not 14... in the last couple of months though he has been stopped by the police and asked how old he is and why hes on the street so late, luckily he is over 17, the curfew age and he was walking home from friends house. it makes him so mad that they keep " messing" with him but im glad to see they are out there checking out the situation. there are alot of gangs here and they are young..my oldest son, 24, said he took my younger 18 year old to a party and that even he was afraid as all of the kids were gang bangers and just a bunch of thugs with guns to boot, i am very worried about my 18 year old. he thinks he is invincible, nothing will ever happen to him, hes already been jumped a couple of times and threatened several. the reasons why are so ridiculous like " you been talkin to my girl" kids today have no respect for life at all and or anything else for that matter.

You get what ya get... it is sad that a kid got shot. But maybe someone will learn from this. And its even worse that some grown man has to use a gun to defend himself sounds like a bunch of punks where messing with a bigger punk.
