So far - I am really enjoying this show. It's nice to see Kelsey Grammer back and the banter between he and Patricia Heaton is fun.

I'm curious what the Fox crew thinks of it? Are you guys enjoying the spoofs on life and banter in a news room? Or are the inevitable inaccuracies making you guys crazy? Or...is any of it actually close to the mark (LOL)?

I love the show. I think it's funny anyway but the fact of actually working at a television station makes it that much funnier.

If they can post things they shouldn't have any problems commenting answers but don't expect it happen all the time. Some of them do pop in here and there a times.

At least they don't spend 90% of their "on-air time" hyping the stations web site...If We had time to get the rest of the story there, we wouldn't be watching!
But at least Kelsey has a another hit, I think.

I've only seen a few clips, so I can't comment on the accuracy. I'm usually out in the field when the show's on, and I'm stuck in the non-DVR dark ages.

but I will say I love Anchorman! although it doesn't remotely resemble a real newsroom.

a few years back there was a great PBS documentary on real newsrooms that was very acurate to what we do. I think the one I saw was shot in a Denver newsroom.

I loved the bit with the reporter being tased last week. Though, I have to say - I'm disappointed they already through in so much "we have a past" angst. I would have liked to see more of the struggle between their egos with his return to the station before something like that was thrown in. But - I like it.

I did see that taser live shot.

and I've seen that done in real life...not by me.

but the funniest thing I ever saw was a reporter when I was in Iowa(won't name names as he's now in Ohio somewhere) that got pepper-sprayed on live TV. he tried to finish and toss back to the anchors but he was rolling on the ground, in tears, and gagging. everyone watching could only bust out laughing, along with the anchors:)

I think it's funny- because sadly a lot of it is true... just bigger and better for tv. I do wonder though... if some of it is too much "inside tv humor". So far so good.... It's on after my bed time but I'll keep recording it on the DVR.

Plus- Patricia has some great suits... maybe she'll let me borrow a few!

What's with the anger towards anchors blogging..... I read the blogs and comment on the ones I want to and have time to. If nothing else I get a good laugh from what I read!

OMG - it's getting even better!

I'm now imagining Cale, Keith and Tom's "anchor demos" LOL That poor character - they keep picking on him mercilessly and getting one last dig in during the credits. That actor has a great gig.

Did anyone else realize that the daughter was the girl from "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?"? I just realized tonight. Now we know what sitcom she "got" that she had to leave "5th Grader" for. Very Cool.

I'm originally from near Boston and now live in Central Florida. I love animals and country music (especially Jim Van Fleet and the Reign! lol). I like sports, especially basketball (Go Celtics!!). I like to dive, fish, shoot, horseback riding - 'outdoorsey' stuff. I'm also a bit of a 'science geek'. I'm not sure how often I'll blog - but it's fun getting to know the Fox Team and others who watch.
