The WNBA Finals are in full swing and it's already a record making series (Detroit up 2-0 on the road).

Any chance we will here about it on the News???

Or is Kevin going to continue to ignore the existence of the WNBA and it's players?

OMG! I love the new "Morning Crew" promo. It cracks me up!!!!

You guys doing a 'pointing wave' for the detour, Jim's goofy grin behind everyone in the elevator...I see something different every time, lol.

Heidi - you are hysterical!!! I love your 'pointing wave' and running under the umbrella after Jim opens it for the woman - you are too funny!!!

So - who is the woman you guys are following around? It that someone else from Fox playing the role or an actor? Or did you guys really follow some poor, unsuspecting woman all around one morning, lol. Where did you guys film those shots? You must have been laughing the whole time.

You guys can follow me around anytime! ( I want Jim up front with me though - not stuck in back behind everyone! lol)

Have a great weekend Morning Crew!

This is AWESOME!!!

Preteen vs. illegal Alien Home Invaders

Two illegal aliens, Ralphel Resindez, 23, and Enrico Garza, 26, probably believed they would easily overpower home-alone 11 year old Patricia Harrington after her father had left their two-story home to go to work.

It seems the two crooks never learned two things: they were in Montana and Patricia had been a clay shooting champion since she was nine.

Patricia was in her upstairs room when the two men broke through the front door of the house. She quickly ran to her father's room and grabbed his 12 gauge Mossberg 500 shotgun.

Resindez was the first to get up to the second floor only to be the first to catch a near point blank blast of buckshot from the 11-year-old's knee crouch aim. He suffered fatal wounds to his abdomen and genitals.

When Garza ran to the foot of the stairs, he took a blast to the left shoulder and staggered out into the street where he bled to death before medical help could arrive.

It was found out later that Resindez was armed with a stolen 45 caliber handgun he took from another home invasion robbery. That victim, 50-year-old David Burien, was not so lucky. He died from stab wounds to the chest.

Ever wonder why good stuff never makes NBC, CBS, PBS, MSNBC, CNN, or ABC news...

Now that is Gun Control thought for the day

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'

I LOVE it!!!

So far - I am really enjoying this show. It's nice to see Kelsey Grammer back and the banter between he and Patricia Heaton is fun.

I'm curious what the Fox crew thinks of it? Are you guys enjoying the spoofs on life and banter in a news room? Or are the inevitable inaccuracies making you guys crazy? Or...is any of it actually close to the mark (LOL)?

Let's hear it Fox crew....what do you guys think??? --- "Back to you..."

Or should I say NO WNBA on Fox.

 What was up with that?!?!

All season long I thought I must just have been missing the WNBA scores being related in the NewsCasts. Then, last night, after I watched Game 5 of the WNBA Finals on ESPN - I watched to see it be reported on the evening news.

It wasn't.

Why has this area of major league sports been ignored? It's been so nice to see the high school football teams get some attention and I love the half hour on Fridays (though - what about the other hs sports??). But - if major sports like the WNBA are ignored, it makes me distrustful of the sports news and  I will have to get that on another channel. I'd much rather be able to follow ALL of my sports teams on Fox.

(BTW - if anyone was wondering - The Phoenix Mercury upset the defending champion Detroit Shock in Detroit 108 - 92 for their first WNBA Finals title in franchise history and the first team to win it on the road. I would have thought that was newsworthy.)

I had to leave for work at 8:00 this morning and wasn't able to watch 'The Cos' on Fox this morning      : (

I was hoping there would be a link to see the interview in the 'Mornings' section of the site but I'm not finding one. It sounds like some of the interview will be on the news tonight (they just showed the clip of Bill making fun of Jim - HILARIOUS!!!) but I would still love to be able to have a link to it to be able to watch it later on.

BTW Morning Crew - I'm WICKED JEALOUS!!! I WANT TO MEET BILL COSBY!!!!!

I've only been fortunate to see him live once - at Ruth Eckerd Hall in St. Pete when I was in college.

I am having NO LUCK at all finding directions to Jonny Rotten's Bar Out Back. Is there any way that some can get posted? I really want to go to the show Friday night! I'd be coming via I4 East.

Thanks!

I haven't seen Laverne on the weekend news for a couple of weeks - and Trei seems to be MIA also ( though - I could just be missing her in the first 2 hours of the broadcast).

 Ladies - I miss you!

Hey Jim, Glenn and Kristi!

I wanted to say thanks for including the Heat Index in the weather forecasts over the past week and a half.

I work outside - so the Heat Index/Wind Chill (HA - when will THAT come back!)/"Feels Like" temp is much more relevant to me than the actual temperature.  Is this going to become a regular thing? Maybe not on every '5' but at least on a particular one - like the Weather Baby? I really hope so. (I've hated having to to get the Comfort Zone from someone else - I'd much rather get it from you guys!)

I also think it's really cool that  Jim shows us, or explains, the calculation that estimates the Heat Index. Rather than it just being some arbitrary number.

 Thanks again! You guys Rock!

Hey Jim, Glenn and Kristi!

I was wondering about something(s)...

I was looking at the list of names for this year, and I remember some of them from a (or multiple???) season past.

Chantal, Dean, Erin (I thought that one was retired?? '95 I think - right?), Humberto...I KNOW I remember storms by these names. So - ,especially in regards to 'Erin', what does it take to get a name retired? Were all these names in the same season/ year last time - or am I remembering names from multiple seasons? How often is the name list recycled? Is it always the same names (sans any retired ones)? Why aren't all 26 letters utilized - now I understand there can't be many Q, or U names - but I'm sure there are a few X and Y names and definitely some Z ones...especially in this day and age.

OK - I've rambled enough. You guys are awesome and so much fun and informative to watch! You all do a great job of breaking down the information for those of us that don't understand all the ins and outs and use great interpretive techinques (ie - comparisons) to explain what's going on.

Thanks for all the work you do and good luck in your 'world series' weather season ! (Hopefully Jim won't have to spend too many nights sleeping in the station next to Tom this year! LOL)!

I like the new ads you guys are doing - especially the daily ones - that involve all 4 of you. I'm sure it's a pain in the butt to have to shot those every day - but I want you to know, I for one - really like them!

I'm originally from the Boston area and now live in Orlando. I am a HUGE Celtics fan. So I for one was thrilled not only to be able to catch a Celtics game on local tv for once the other night, but to see the Celtics WIN! (I was this close to driving down the the Fox studio the other night when Thomas keep referring the the Celts as "the worst team in the league". grrrrrrrrrrr  LOL)

I'm hoping to go to the game on the 15th. But I realize I may need a bodyguard as I WILL be decked out in Celtics garb and routing against the Magic.

Are there any other Celtics fans out there that are going to the game?

Does anyone else route for teams other that the local ones? (Naturally in addition to the Celts I route for other Boston teams - but the Celtics are MY team.)

Okay, I just can't take it anymore. I just heard an ad for tomorrow morning's newcast which will involve identifying "poisonous" snakes.

This is one of those science terms which is consistantly misused by the media (sorry Tom - I know it's probably not your fault - it's the info you were given).

Poison must be ingested (eaten). Venom is injected into the body (like a needle).

You only need to worry about a poisonous snake (and I'm not aware of any...) if you are going to EAT it. However, being able to identify a venomous snake is an important skill.

Another term that makes me nuts when it gets misused is a beached vs. a stranded animal.

In both cases - these are animals out of their natural element. However a stranded animal is alive while a beached animal is dead. You can't rescue a beached animal - you can only recover it.

I know I'm coming across as anal retentive - that most of the general public is not aware of these differences. However - isn't it the job of the media to present the most correct information available? If these terms (and others) were used correctly - than the general public WOULD know them and misinformation would not be perpetuated.

Just my own soapbox. I'm sure there are non-science terms misused that I am unaware of - anyone want to add to the list? That way - we can all help each other to learn the correct terms/ definitions.

I think the FOX team does a great job and I hate it when these types of slips lower the team's credibility

I'm originally from near Boston and now live in Central Florida. I love animals and country music (especially Jim Van Fleet and the Reign! lol). I like sports, especially basketball (Go Celtics!!). I like to dive, fish, shoot, horseback riding - 'outdoorsey' stuff. I'm also a bit of a 'science geek'. I'm not sure how often I'll blog - but it's fun getting to know the Fox Team and others who watch.
