Hey guys!
I'm sorry to stay away for so long! Things have been rather hectic to say the least. My uncle  died and then we had some family drama and now my husband's grandfather is sick. He's doing much better now, but is expected to be in the hospital for several weeks. Any prayers would be appreciated.

On top of that, I've now started working full time so now that things have finally settled down, I'm looking forward to some interesting debate on here! I need some good mental stimulation :)

Oh! Miss Sophie is now 5 months and she has 2...yes 2 teeth!! New pics are on their way.

If you have myspace my url is www.myspace.com/sweetiebunz

*disclaimer* Sweetie was my bunny (bunz) that passed away and I used to call her Sweetiebunz...so that's why that's the name..not because I like my butt lol.

You'll have to add me as a friend to see the pics but just lemme know that you're from here and it's all good :)

Miss you!

PS sorry this is in the NEWS section but it sorta is news...at least the Teeth part lol

Hey ya'll!
Sorry about taking up some "News" space but I wanted to give you the update on the 'blog kid' lol.
Sophie will be 4 months old this month! Can you believe it?
She's rolling over, practicing sitting up and coos over EVERYTHING.

She is also practicing walking in her walker and scoots herself backward until she hits a wall. Then she screams lol.

She loves eating from a spoon. She loves bananas, pears and apples and especially loves mushing the baby food all over her face. I think that might be because she likes getting a bath afterwards! Sophie just LOVE LOVE LOVES the water!

She took her first plane ride last month to Conn. She did soo good and slept the whole way there and back. Security was so obnoxious. TPA made me take her out of the carseat (which was attached to the stroller) and walk the stoller with carseat attached through the metal detector with Sophie on my arm, barefeet and trying to keep track of my carryon and diaper bag.

That was bearable.

Bradley International made me take Sophie out of the car seat, detach the carseat from the stroller, fold them both up and send them through the x-ray machine...barefoot with the carryon and diaper bag...but then the carseat and stroller wouldn't fit through that x-ray machine so I had to go through a different line, while my shoes and other items were still at that line. Oh, what a mess. And NOT ONE airline associate came to help! A woman with an infant in her arms trying like hell to fold up a stroller, manage a carseat, 2 bags and some flip flops while holding up the ENTIRE line.

Thank God for TPA...their associates were helpful and it was MUCH easier.

Maybe FOX should do a report on that! lol What's a woman to do? At least they didn't confiscate my formula which was a qt of liquid, since it doesn't come in powered form!

Oh well, we got there and back and Sophie had her first swim in an alligator free lake! She LOVED it. I'll put more pics up soon!

In answer to YD's question that he posted on Hawkeye's blog...

(Yes, I am posting this in the news section so that YD can read my most astute observations)

You, YD, asked Hawkeye how he can be sure that DEOP is FTP.

It's kinda funny. I was reading through the news section today and caught a post that was styled in the exact same way that FTP used to style his blogs. His comments first, followed by 2 or more articles or snippets of articles. I thought to myself, "Oh, FTP is back." Then I realized the blog was written by DEOP. Just thought it was interesting.

I should point out that each of us has a very unique writing style. FTP complies his blogs in the same way each time.  Hawkeye CAPITALIZES every OTHER word practically. And Candy....uses more .....punctuation....than any other blogger.....ever.

Ya'll have heard of the do not call list.
Well I just put myself on the Do Not Mail list and called to get rid of those nasty preapproved credit offers!

I got this website off of www.snopes.com
in the Origins section of the telemarketer page.

here's the link:
https://www.dmachoice.org/MPS/proto1.php

if you would like to reduce the number of pre-screened credit and insurance offers you are receiving, visit www.optoutprescreen.com or call 1-888-5OptOut (1-888-567-8688) to opt-out of these offers. This is a free service to consumers offered by the major credit bureaus.

ewww...no thanks! Here's the article
Study: 1 in 4 adults in NYC have herpes virus

NEW YORK (AP) — A city Health Department study finds that more than a fourth of adult New Yorkers are infected with the virus that causes genital herpes.

The study, released Monday, says about 26 percent of New York City adults have genital herpes, compared to about 19 percent nationwide.

The department says genital herpes can double a person's risk for contracting HIV.

Herpes can cause painful sores, but most people have no recognizable symptoms.

Among New Yorkers, the herpes rate is higher among women, black people and gay men.

The health department urges consistent use of condoms, and says its STD clinics offer free, confidential herpes testing.

From Dlisted.com Do you agree or disagree?

Personally, I think it's a bit refreshing. I don't like the idea of our soldiers (or british soldiers) dying, but Rupert brings a 'tough guy' point of view. I know a few soldiers who view their jobs this way and it's such a turn on that nothing scares them!

Here's the article:

'Rupert thinks British soldiers have become whiny wimps who are afraid of being killed. He thinks they should want to die.

He said, "The whole point of being in the Army is wanting to get killed, wanting to test yourself to the limits. Now you have to fly 15,000ft above the war zone to avoid getting hit. I don't think there is any point in having wars if that's how you're going to behave. It's pathetic. All this whining! The whole point of being in the Army is going to war and getting yourself blown up. They are always whining about the dangers of being killed. Oh my God, they are such wimps now!"

Jumpy983

I'm a new mom. Happily married to the most wonderful man in the world. I love animals and the environment but i'm far from a "tree hugging hippie" i like to fish and shop. Personally, I believe a picture is worth a thousand words, so I tend to post pictures instead of full length sermons.
