We're expecting our first child, and have no plans to raise her with any kind of religion. My husband and I were both raised catholic, and were forced to go to chuch, go through the rituals, etc. I don't want that for my daughter. I want her to think for herself and decide for herself, when she's old enough, if she wants to learn more about a particular religion.

I want to know what other non-religious people think about this topic. If you are not religious, are you still teaching your kids about the religion you were raised in? Do you make them go to church, synagogue, mosque, etc? Or do you believe in raising them to be free thinkers?
