If you haven't heard I write for Mom's Like Me magazine.  Next month I'm writing about keeping the love alive and making date night a priority.  I am not exactly an expert since I'm usually out cold by 7pm.  My husband and I like to joke that we go out semi- annually!  We do however do a little better than that.

So - I want to know- what are your favorite dates?  Fancy dinners or simple stuff where you just hang out?  I want to know what you do when you need a night out and away from the kids... and how often do you do it?

12 years ago on a very, very cold winter morning my husband and I tied the knot. 

We've decided that next time we get married, we're not going to do it the week before Christmas.

There's just no time and money left to celebrate! 

Mind you if we get married again- it will be to eachother. 

We've been together for14 years, 12 years married and wouldn't have it any other way.

I've missed you!  I've been crazy busy and have fallen off the blogging horse.  I'm climbing back on.  What have I misssed.  How are you.  What's new?

P.S. I'm way behind on Christmas shopping.  Can't wait though.  I love giving gifts :)  My husbands surprise is the best.  I have a hard time keeping secrets ....

Actually the problem is my vacuum doesn't suck.  It died last week!!!

It did however have a good long life.  It gave me 12 good years and only cost $128 dollars.  R.I.P.  My Kenmore was good to me.  Now I need a new one and need your advice. 

A lot has changed in the last 12 years.  So many options, so many attatchments.  SOOOO much more money.  What do you vacuum with?  How long has it lasted, and was it worth the money????

I'm stretching myself these days, trying a little something new.  I'm writing for a local magazine about life as a working mother.  My deep thoughts if you will, on life in general.  Most often they come with my version of life which tends to be a bit more humorous.  The magazine is called MOMS LIKE ME.  Once known as Central Florida Moms. 

October Issue Highlights

 You can find it around town at local businesses and at Albertson's grocery stores and Blockbuster.  Right now you can catch my article on Halloween in the tv business where Elmo costumes are not allowed and at home where princess costumes "are so last year".  In a week you can read more about my take on living life with an attitude of gratitude. 

While I've written for tv for years, writing for a magazine is a whole new ball game.  Pick up a copy and let me know what you think.
