Finally, what everyone with an IQ over 2 already knew - WE WERE IN A RECESSION ONE YEAR after the Democrats took over the Congress.

The story in the St Pete Times today included a chart showing previous recessions & negative quarterly changes in the gross domestic product.

Here is what it shows since 1950:

RECESSIONS: Total:10

Fully within a DEMOCRAT CONGRESS – 10

Fully within a REPUBLICAN CONGRESS – 0

0 started within a Republican Congress

10 started with a Democrat Congress

Quarters within a Republican Congress – 0

Quarters within a Democrat Congress – 33

It’s CONGRESS that SPENDS the money,, NOT the Presidency..

Don't try telling that to the DOPES! They think it's the other way around. They will never admit that unless it's a time of war, the president is little more than a signature machine, an on/off switch. And even Congress can overturn that!

It's like I said before. The only qualification you need to run for any office is congress is half a brain and a butt to sit on and be able to say yea or ney. You don't need common sense cause if any one in congress had any we wouldn't be in the mess were in now. DUH!!

Yep. "Strom Thurmond" syndrome. The Dilbert principle- there are many variations on this theme in such a decadent society. Many of the politicians in question don't have many educational qualifications beyond basic political science or pre-law.

The recessionary mistakes started when dumbo and his Boofuses controlled everything. The incompetent Dem's are guilty of everything under the sun including being sluts and pencil necked geeks and may be responsible for kidnapping the Lindberg baby but NOT this one.

BTW, the budget originates with the PRESIDENT, is passed by Congress and the PRESIDENT has the authority, no the DUTY, to veto items he chooses and guess what?????

Your pal, Crudo the Creeping Crud chose not to veto ANY spending measure, with the exception of health care for children.

ONLY the Administrative Budget starts with the President..ALL other appropriations originate in the CONGRESS..

And he ONLY vetoed a Bill that EXPANDED a Children's Poverty Health Program when the DEMOCRATS tried to INCLUDE ADULTS up to 24 years of age making $85,000 a year..

He had the GALL to insist that the Program cover the CHILDREN for which it was intended..

GO figure..

It's also Congress that can pass the Card Check Act if we don't try to stop them.

To all who aren't aware, the Card Check Act, which is being voted on by legislation soon, is a terrible act. It basically bullies union workers into voting publicly on union authorization issues. It's imperative that it be shot down in congress. Please stop by this website and sign the petition. BONUS: you'll get a free bumper sticker. Free is always good! : )

As I understand it this law also eliminates "secret" ballots imvolving the Unionization of workers too..

EITHER way,, It is a CLEAR CUT case of the Legalization of Intimidation,, PURE and SIMPLE...
