How the Press Reported the 2008 General Election...

The media coverage of the race for president has not so much cast Barack Obama in a favorable light as it has gone out of it’s way to portray John McCain in a substantially negative one, according to a new study of the media since the two national political conventions ended.

 

For Obama during this period, just over a third of the stories were clearly positive in tone (36%), while a similar number (35%) were neutral or mixed. A smaller number (29%) were negative.

For McCain, by comparison, nearly six in ten of the stories studied were decidedly negative in nature (57%), while fewer than two in ten (14%) were positive.

McCain                          Obama

14% Positive                 36% Positive ( More then Doubled for Obama)

29% Nuetral                   35% Nuetral ( About the Same)

57% Negative                29% Negative ( ALMOST Doubled for Mccain)

They Selected our Candidates,,NOW they're selecting Our President..

And OH Yes,,The Polls..Those pesky polls we've been subjected to EVERY day..

Have you noticed how the polls are tightening up as we get closer to election day??

DON'T let them FOOL you with a bunch of BS....Ohhh,,, THEY even made up a NAME for it now,,Something SINISTER Sounding.. Something that they IMPLY is RACIST..

They call it The BRADLY EFFECT after a Black Politician who LOST when the Polls saod that he should have WON..

DON'T fall for it..

There's ONE reason for this and ONE reason ONLY..

As we get closer to election day the PRIORITIES of the Pollsters SHIFT from trying to Manipulate Opinion to Salvaging some degree,,SOME semblence of Credibility..

ALL of a sudden ACCURACY counts MORE then anything else..

NOW they're worrying about getting CAUGHT WAY off the mark as they did in the LAST two elections..

It's a pitiful FOOL indeed that put's TOO much stock in them..

I have gotten to the point......that I am so overwhelmed by THESE FOOLS that believe everything they hear.......THAT GO AHEAD LET THAT PIECE OF #$%6 WIN.............so these fools CAN SEE FOR THEMSELVES JUST how much wealth and benefits THEY ARE ACTUALLY GONNA GET...............SICK OF IT..........

I will say this............I have been keeping an eye on the Spanish channels AND I AM VERY DELIGHTED..........they have been doing a great job in promoting McCain.......THAT'S A FIRST...........so Kudos to Univision and Televista..............

I have also come across many afro-americans today THEY ARE AGAINST BARACK........if Barack wins IT WOULD ONLY BE BY all those absentee ballots FROM DEAD PEOPLE AND CONVICTED FELONS......WHAT A DIRT BAG

How true Hawk. The lopsided polls have been the rage for months, even years.

But now they say it is going to be close! LOL!

Perhaps they are doing this so thier stupid polls can have even an ounce of credibility in the future? As if they had in the past!

Sorry. Polls are BS. Spread them around for the stupid people, but stop insulting the intelligence of the majority.

The media can fool some of the people all of the time, or can fool all of the people some of the time, but they can NEVER fool all of the people all of the time!

We need to vote for the media with our dollars, with our viewing and with our computer clicks. Maybe then they will get the message. We need to also turn off award shows that have nothing to do with musical or artistic talent and everything to do with political propoganda. Magazines, newspapers who dont remove the obvious bias need to be replaced by those that are fair and balanced.

They do the lying polls thing so you can imagine that there is no use going to the polls cause they want you to think your guy is so far behind you get disgusted and stay home. And they want you to feel everyone knows something you dont and maybe you too should vote their way - kind of peer pressure thing. Guess what media idiots ----- you are insult the voters of this country - your potential customers and we will remember when we buy ----- we are not as stupid and you like to think we are ------ we are voting --- you will look like the idiots you are on the 5th.

Interrestingly enough,, the STUDY showed that Fox News Network was the MOST even with their stories about BOTH Candidates..

Which tells ME that what I have been saying for a LONG time is 100% True..

If you’re “Fair” in your Treatment,,IF you show some Integrity in your reporting..IF you REFUSE to COMPRIMISE the Standards that the Public has EVERY right to expect and DEMAND of you..IF you RESIST getting on the Liberal Bandwagon..

YOU ARE A HARDLINE RWNJ that HAS to be SILENCED as far as the LEFT is Concerned..

ONLY the Extrme WHACKO Left can be defined as the center anymore..

Well, it seems "integrity in reporting" has gone the way of the dodo. It is extinct. Even Fox, that is not totally left yet, has still been reporting more on Obama than McCain by a very wide margin.

Also notice how the blog has gone from red to blue right before the election.

Let's face it. Integrity in reporting no longer exists in America.

All media is blue now, including Fox.

Yeah, been watching MSNBC and noticed most guests are Obama supporters...so yeah one sided media outlet. There is an occasional McCain supported but air time for that guest is limited to a couple minutes, more time is made available for guests who support Obama.
