Well..we NOW know the McCain VP pick..A choice that will no doubt infuriate the Democrats as it was no doubt intended to do..BUT,,MUCH as SHE will be Villified as a "token woman" in a Republican attempt to outclass the Democrats,,  THAT is NOT her ONLY reason for HER BEING there..She’ll be the ONLY person on EITHER ticket with ANY Executive Experience..She’ll be the HIGHEST woman ever to hold Public Office in American History from EITHER party..SHE will serve as the President of the Senate and AS such will provide a CLEAR and Unmistakable Contrast to the Bumbling and Fumbling mistake that IS Nancy Pelosi..Beyond ALL that,, there’s at least ONE other THING that I like about her..

WE keep hearing from the left that the Republicans NEVER criticize their OWN for ANY wrongdoing.. Of Course we ALL know this to be an OUTRIGHT LIE..We HEAR this primarilly because we Defend against the Slander and the LIES that are passed around and presented as "Facts" but are really nothing more then Political and Character Assassination attempts by the left..I won’t go into detail..We ALL know what I’m talking about and we ALL know who they are..

On the other hand..The Republican Revolution of ’06,, born out of a PERCIEVED impression,, SOMETIMES accurate,, but MORE often then NOT the result of SLANDEROUS attacks by the Left,, are CLEAR evidence and PERFECT examples that Republicans are MORE then willing to BOTH recognize any wrongdoings on the part of their REPUBLICAN representatives and are even MORE willing to DO something about them..

THIS IS SOMETHING THAT YOU NEVER SEE,, AND CANNOT EVER SAY,,ABOUT THE  DEMOCRAT PARTY OR IT'S MEMBERSHIP....

THAT which gets a Republican in trouble,, sometimes even Jailed,, gets a Democrat PROMOTED and WE are comstantly being told,,"It’s NONE of OUR business".

Sarah Palin rose to primacy in Alaskan Politics fighting Corruption along the way..Exposing the Corruption of the ruling leaders of the Political Machine and sending them packing.. She put a HALT to the INFAMOUS "Bridge to Nowhere" right off the bat..Besides breaking all the records JUST by becoming Alaska’s First Female Governor she broke a few heads and managed to get PASSED an ANTI-CORRUPTION Bill to boot..

And THOSE that she went up against  were REPUBLICANS……

An Anti-Corruption Bill,,Something PROMISED but YET to be SEEN from the Democrats in Washington after TWO YEARS....

It is so interresting that these Leftist Liberals are always pointing fingers at the right.. After all..

It took a REPUBLICAN Governor in the Republican State of Alaska to send Corruption Packing..AND,,,

It took a REPUBLICAN Governor in the DEMOCRAT State of Louisiana to send Corruption Packing THERE..

Again..THIS is something that you’ll NEVER be able to say about ANY Democrat…

Sorry Hawk, I think it was a mistake. If he HAD to have a woman on the ticket he should have picked Condoleeza.
This woman he picked is the equivalent of Dan Quayle. He may/will be sorry. This may have cost him the election.
Don't get me wrong, he still has MY vote, but damn. Bad choice IMO.

I am quite pleased with this choice for VP. I am sort of at a loss for words from our partners around the blogs that have stood for conservatism and they are disappointed in this choice and calling her a nobody and so forth. If you are a true Republican and you follow the party leaders in all States you would KNOW about her. She has been out there. I have been listening to her on the Talk Show circuit for awhile. I have been in tune with what she is doing in Alaska. She hasn't been hidden. The MSM don't cover the really important races and actions of the little things that are going on in this country. But Palin has been out there and pushing for drilling in Alaska. She is a rising star in the GOP. So is Bobby Jindal. I am quite impressed with him also. He has really taken LA on and is working so hard to make that State what it can and should be to America. Her name has been out there as a pick for quite awhile. The only drawback I had between her and Jindal was that they were newly elected and both the states which they govern need them so badly and love them and really don't want to give them up just yet. On the other hand when the pathetic governor of Kansas was being courted by Obama, my friends and family members in Kansas were hoping and praying to get rid of her. They were saying to Obama, "take her, please."

I am sorry Frank. Condoleeza would have been a disastrous mistake for McCain. She carries too much baggage. The libs hate her. The Israelis are pretty much through with her appeasement of the Palestinians. She has very little influence in the middle east any longer.

Condoleeza would,, in MY opinion,, have been an excellant choice at ANY other time but NOW her being on the ticket would have played right into the Democrats' " another 4 years of Bush" Theme..

Palin has the credentials,,the CONSERVATIVE outlook and the personality to COMPLIMENT any drawbacks that McCain might have..SHE can advise him on how to win back the Conservative Base..

She’s a Hunter,, a member of the NRA ,, a MOTHER,,,,A Mother that decided to HAVE and LOVE a baby that she KNEW beforehand was going to have problems..

I’ve heard about a DOZEN times on the MSM how THAT makes her RADICAL and DANGEROUS..

Exactly WHEN did being a MOTHER make you a RADICAL and supporting Infanticide,, as Obama does,, make you MAINSTREAM?? .. NOT abortion mind you,,INFANTICIDE,,the KILLING of Living,, Breathing Babies that SURVIVED abortions,,

Yeah,,SHE’S Conservative all right..

A Philosophy that the Libs. and the Drive-by MSM want YOU to think is Dead and Gone..Obsolete,, A regression to the REAGAN days..

But MORE importantly..She represents CONSERVATISM as a philosophy.. A Philosophy that has TIME and TIME again PROVEN itself to be a winning one.THAT'S why the Libs.HATE this choice..THEY had thought that THEY had WON this battle..

It is BEYOND my comprehension why so many Republicans abandon it in favor of acting like Democrats..

THEY are NOT Democrats and the Leeway given TO Democrats by the Media does NOT translate into ANY kind of slack for them..

Rexsmom made an excellant point earlier on Tom Sussi's post. In the event something should incapacitate McCain someone more conservative would be in line to take his place. I personally like seeing a younger politician as well in such a position, Washington has far too many living fossils plodding about.

Well, I still disagree with this choice. I hope this all works out for the best, as the thought of Obama as the president actually keeps me awake at night.

I hope and pray it will not happen, but now it seems as a definite. This choice will guarantee Obama the White House.

I never was big on McCain myself, his VP choice makes me feel better. Another point is a number of female bloggers have already approved his choice as well. I'm more intrested in if this will help reach younger voters who may be voting for their first time.

Condoleeza would not only have pulled the black vote, but the female vote as well.
She is an articulate statesman, and could beat Biden down like no other could!

I hope this woman you are all so fond of can do the same. She has stated she does not even know what the Vice President does!

I hope I am wrong, but I think picking her will lose the election for McCain.

Condoleeza, who's intellegence,talent and ability are without question would have a hard time clearing the hurdle of having served in the Bush administration, something most Bush-bashers could never overlook or get past.

Neither side has mentioned possible picks for their respective cabinet members yet either. Just another point to consider. Don't think for a moment that that is not very important as well.

Bush bashers are the vocal minority.

Her intelligence, talent, and ability would shine like a beacon to all that have any doubt.

She is no Hillary, and I believe most would see that. She is the black equivalent of Margaret Thatcher, who would make a truly fine female president, never mind vice president.

DF..Nobody's dissing Condi here..Trust Me..I have NOTHING but Admiration and Respect for her..While people like Obama and Michelle have to FABRICATE their "Rags to Success" Stories while trashing the ONE country where THAT is Possible,, Condi is a LIVING example of someone who had to SUCCEED against ALL odds to get where she is..

I have NO doubt that SHE deserves it..I would've LOVED to have SEEN it but I doubt that the Democrat Media Hacks would have ALLOWED it..

I don't know as much about the woman as some of you more politically astute bloggers do, especially Hawk, Frank, Meb and Randy. All I have heard about her is that she is VERY
Pro-Guns, (big plus) is against abortions and has a no nonsense attitude when it comes to standing up for what she believes in. I pray he made the right choice.

Well, that was kinda my point Deb. Few people know much about her, including me. I have never heard of her before. That is why I was so astounded the McCain picked her.
She is virtually unknown to the majority of Americans, and I think that will work against him.

The more I find out about her, the more I like her. She is indeed an incredible woman, and I hope like hell she will be an asset and not a hinderance to McCain.

She is being investigated by Alaskan authorities for allegedly using her position to try to get her ex-brother in law fired from his job as a State Trooper. This could come back to bite her and McCain in the butt for sure. The investigation is expected to last three months. The results will be in around election time! This could be a real torpedo!

The Obama campaign will use this for certain, even if she is absolved of any wrong doing!

McCain made a excellent choice he pick someone that takes no BLEEP from anybody hope she doesn't change, she be leaves in our country.
She has more experience then Obama as far as running government, she has made more decison than Obama.
She's a very smart woman.
