"Officials said there is no requirement to notify the public about an oil spill."

SO WHAT???

An Oil Spill or leak NOT serious enough to effect the Public at Large,, Presents NO Dangers,, has NO ongoing Environmental Impact and is being cleaned up in a timely manner presents NO reason to "Sound the Alarms"..

UNLESS YOU ARE AN ALARMIST AGAINST THE INDUSTRY..

REMEMBER,,

OIL is a NATURAL part of this planet…

The CLAIM that there MAY have been Oil Spills that occurred,, EVEN AS THE RESULT OF A HURRICANE,, that they were cleaned up with NO lasting Environmental Impacts and are a thing of the past ALL without YOU knowing the slightest thing about them is an ARGUMENT FOR DRILLING,,

NOT against it...

Funny how the insane left wants to use scare tactics about “oil spills' as an excuse to KEEP us dependent on foreign oil but never EVER have they show any of a single picture of a damaged environment because of oil drilling ...humans have been drilling for oil all over the world for over a hundred years and the nuts will not show me even one lousy picture of the “harm” they are talking about....

Hey Fox why not send a camera out to both the area in question AND the the existing oil rigs in the Gulf ? Its not far and it is time we get a look at what all the controversy is about....what are you afraid of ? That people will realize how far out to sea the area is ? That they will find out how safe and clean offshore rigs really are ? Do you have a reason for being biased to the minority that is opposed to Florida drilling ?

Unless the impact will leave lasting affects that will contaminate, sicken, impair or injure the American people, why would it be necessary to do so? I don't see every incident of strong-armed robbery, battery, sexual assault, or weapons violation that occurs EVERY, SINGLE day at our ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE, and HIGH SCHOOLS being reported in the media! Why the uproar over a contained and cleaned up oil spill?

MOST spills occur during Transport,, ie..Leaky tankers,,Drunk Captains running aground etc..

NONE are reduced in the LEAST by the Moratorium against drilling nor will they increase should drilling resume...

Because the CLAIM thet they DON'T do this suggest something Hidden,,something Underhanded,, something EVIL..

NEVER is the left MORE happy then it IS when harping about Conspiracies and Plots against the people..They love them SO much that EVERYTHING becomes a PLOT in their eyes...

I remember when my father's parents lived in Bodine Ok, just outside OK City, huge oil wells surrounded their little farm. I lay in grandma's bed at night and would gaze out the window at the wells pumping up and down and could make all kind of monsters out of them. Anyway, they had big ditches or trenches where excess oil would spill over into. Grandma used to say what a waste it was and they would need that oil someday. We would sneak off and play around it when we could. It was fun making those tar balls and throwing them. As far as I know the town of Bodine and all around there is still thriving and the oil that spilled out years ago did nothing to the environment.

Carefully RL your age is showing...oil men in this century worry less about spilled blood than oil , triple “collars” and spill back shoots etc. make it impossible for any of the oil to wind up anywhere other than where it belongs. The rigs still look like giant grasshoppers but you will see green grass all the way up to the base of them. (American rigs that is!)
