O.K.  Here we go again!

Looks like Hanna will be a thorn in our side on Thursday.  Latest models keep Hanna just offshore...but not by much.  That would put us on the weaker side...but still near enough to get 40+ mph winds along the coast and lesser winds inland.  That'll mean the much more beach erosion than we received from Fay, plus another shot at 2"-5" of rain.  Unfortunately, most of that rain would fall on the east side of the state...i.e. St. Johns river.  So flooding may get worse and keeps the mosquitos fat and juicy.

But will it mess up my bear hunt up in Virginia, next week? As YOU know, water is NO good for gunpowder, firing pins and actions!
LOL!

A Repost of mine from another blog area.

Seeing we have 4 storms out there is very unnerving to me, I hope I'm wrong, but history sometimes has a way of "repeating" itself, sometimes sooner than we would like. And all these storms just give me a really bad feeling we are about to see a report performance of the 2004 back to back hurricanes, the encore performance in 2008 is upon us.

Again, I hope I'm wrong and it doesn't happen, but that's what we thought in 2004 and look what happened.

So BE PREPARED, BE READY and BE SMART!

Well, it looks like Hanna will pass about 180 miles off to our east! Great news. Just far enough to keep the strongest winds and heaviest rains away!

Unfortunately, you are correct that this active season is similar to 2004! A persistent low over the eastern U.S. and a similar Bermuda high position to that of 2004 will keep these tropical troubles headed our way. The only hope is that they only flirt with us...and don't actually slam into us!

Hurricane Ike is now a major Hurricane! Cat. 3 and expected to grow into a Cat. 4. Latest models also bring it near us early next week! Yikes! Double yikes!

And Glenn is wrong AGAIN!

Face it, Glenn - NO ONE can predict the weather.

Hey,Glenn:
I can honestly say that the weather seems a little strange this year, and I think we could have a better understanding of it if we do a littler more research on global warming or pherhave we should start planting more TREES everywhere we can to try to alleviate the problem of forecasting, what do you think?

Don't mess with my forecasts!! It's been an excting ride here in Central Florida in our wild world of weather. It's started with the storm of the century in 1993 and continues today.....
