Here's a good one for you:

Last Friday, I purchased a McCain/Palin sign from a roadside vendor for three dollars. It's one of those mass-produced corrugated plastic signs that people stick in their yards. Since I live in a very remote area at the end of a deadend road, I stuck the sign out along the public road - about a mile from my house.

Wouldn't you know it? After placing the sign there Saturday morning, by Monday on my way to work, it was gone.

So today, I bought another one for FIVE dollars and placed it exactly where the first one had been. Whoever took down the first sign left the wire frame which pretty much proves that it didn't blow away.

You know what, libbies? Every time you remove my sign, I'm going to replace it, even if it costs me five dollars each time. At least the money's going to a worthy cause.

You people are disgusting!

YOU GO FLOYD!!!Can you put it up high enough where they can't reach it like on a light pole or something? If you have to get a ladder to put it up they'll need a ladder to get it down. I'm with you!!!!

Well drat, I was so expecting retaliation in kind with FloydFreak's own brand of sarcasm. At least I got to read a bit of the hat-handing last night ;)

Oh well... I know y'all consider me a lib, so I'll let you know that I have had to look at my neighbors yard-sign for one of my Reps that I cannot stand, and will be voting out, for the last 8 months and I have done nothing to it. Tho, I was tempted to write "Sucks" on it. But I have refrained all these months. Some of us have self-control and don't revert back to kindergarten in the face of something we don't like.

Tho, you're not alone FloydFreak. A Ron Paul sign at a major intersection near my home keeps disappearing too. A new one goes up and pouf! a day later it's gone. Considering I live in a Red town, I assume it's a McCain supporter taking it down since McCain's is still there. Tho, in another part of town, the huge Obama/Biden sign is still up. Perhaps it's cuz it's one of the really big ones?

Way up a phone poll is a good idea. Make em work to get it down.

I've been thinking of having Apap mow "Vote Ron Paul" into the back 40. Give the planes something to look at as they fly over. Tho, that would probably get us on the list.;)

Tho, I have to admit, Sometimes I have a hard time not pulling a 'told you so'. Especially w/people I've posted w/for many years. But it accomplishes little in the entirety of what faces us all. This week. This month. These next few months. What WePeeps stand for will determine our futures.

and please, after the election, take down the signs. They muck up the view.

8 years of rule by the "decider" has come home to roost.

I blame Bush less than those who voted for him (the second time) and those who continue to ignore the reality of his incompetence and criminal "leadership".

I suspect a vote for Palin will be equally treacherous. The girl may make a mean mooseburger but I doubt she understands much else.

It would appear your neighbors are not for Sen. McCain by stealing your signs. Out smart them and put up Sen. Obama signs. That would totally confuse them. Yeah that's the ticket.

Hey Floyd what you need is this new warnig devise they've been advertising on TV. If a motion detector, well, detects someone on your property, a big voice booms out "You've been detected and the police have been notified". You could have one that booms out "You've been detected, leave that sign alone or a big pit bull will leap out and devour your face." LOL

I like your suggestion, Sheryn, but the sign is well over a mile from my house. I live at the end of a dead end private road. The only person that would see it in my yard is my Obama-supporting neighbor.

Floyd, with an announcement like that, you wouldn't have to be there to see them. Otherwise you could put up a little camera above the sign and watch them run away scared ????less. It would be worth the laugh plus you could probably put something like that one AFV and win $100,000. And they need funny videoa on that show. Most are of spoiled kids getting away with "murder".

Don't you know that code enforcement is picking up your signs? Campaign signs cannot be posted in the public right of way.
