I don't know about YOURS but mine just may be.

The media (make that the LIBERALS) love to demonize the oil companies in much the same manner as they do Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, and President Bush. But my mother has a sizable percentage of her stock portfolio invested in Exxon. Does that make my mother the devil incarnate? Or is that moniker reserved for the likes of Rove?

But this effort to demonize "big oil" bothers me greatly. I mean, after all, what is wrong with my mother (and the millions of other Americans that hold stock in oil companies) realizing a return on her investment?

Will you liberals EVER get it? Methinks not.

What about "little oil"? If "big oil" is the Devil, does that make "little oil" a minor demon?

I have money in "big oil" and "big sugar". I guess I'm going straight to hell huh? *lmao*

Have you noticed the absence of oil company hate rants since the price has dropped below $100 per can? Wont be long before they chastise them for not building more refineries so the pump price comes down. But then the lefties will be at war with each other. You know, the regular brain dead liberals Vs the even more brain dead environmentalists liberals? *lmao*

FloydFreak it's a good thing your mom is in Exxon instead of Enron.

Mere stock-holders aren't the problem. It's the CEO's. The BigFish. The Peons can't afford a $12k umbrella stand. They get stuck w/the losses from BigFishGreed.

Does tend to leave one speechless eh? ;) WeThePeople are now buying corporations bad debt to the tune of $700b+. Preferably, w/little or no oversight. For our own safety of course.

Are WeTheActualPeople allowed to say No?

How nice. Did I wake up in the USSA today? Maybe cleaning up dog poo this morning has fogged my senses.

No wonder they're trying to ram this thing in. Quick! Right before the election no less. Those incumbents seem rather confident that they'll be staying right where they're at. I wonder why that is? Oh, it could be that they are all buds w/the vote counters? That would be job-security in the bag wouldn't it? But our politicians would never act against the benefit of WeThePeople. Silly me. Vote Fraud is just Sour Grapes is all.

Nothin' to see here, move on...

Gee, FloydFreak, no opinions on my opinions?

Since you're not calling me crazy I guess you agree?

I knew you weren't a true NeoCon, just an American like me who can see WeThePeeps are about to get the shaft. Big time. With no ability to say "Heck No!"

Good on on dude....

I am your normal, middle-class, "working Joe". But I am also a capitalist and believe that nothing good comes from socialistic entitlement programs. I believe in hunting down and killing terrorists like the little rats that they are (except that that statement is denigrating to rats). I grew up in a very conservative household and was fortunate enough to have had a conservative American Government teacher (a retired US Army colonel) who helped to show me the "right" way. Are there things that I would like to change? Absolutely. But NOT the kind of "change" being espoused by Hillarock Obaminton. I have lived in Florida for forty of my forty-eight years. I've been a big Pink Floyd fan since my teen years hence the moniker, FloydFreak. My friends call me Freak, Floyd, and FF. The libs call me a neocon. I wear that badge proudly. Please note that I enjoy engaging in spirited discussion - even with those with whom I disagree. There are a number of individuals on these boards whom I respect even if I DO think that they're out of touch with reality. Please note also that I do not tolerate personal attacks on my character. If you think that I'm full of BLEEP, you have the right to say so. But drag my character into the gutter and expect retaliation in kind with FloydFreak's own brand of sarcasm. Keep it civil and we'll get along fine. To those of you that see good in America and want the OPPORTUNITY for prosperity for all - and do not just seek to soak it to "the rich", I say God bless you. And God bless America!
