I've got to tell you, in almost fifteen years of marriage, I have NEVER heard my wife utter the "C-Word".

But she did today after hearing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's partisan tirade on the floor of the House of Representatives today. This woman should be ashamed of herself - and her fellow democrats should also be ashamed.

I used to call Pelosi a "slut". I was being kind.

I would like to use an analogy to compare for you conservatism versus liberalism:

Every two weeks, I visit Florida's Blood Centers in Ocala. There, they stick a needle into each of my arms and I lie there immobilized for anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour-and-a-half while they draw platelets. The machine draws blood from one arm, removes the platelets, then returns the platelet-less blood to the other arm.

I have been donating blood for over thirty years; whole blood for the first twenty and platelets for the past ten or so. I do not receive any accolades really nor do I seek any (Florida Blood Services gives you a t-shirt and Florida's Blood Centers gives you a gift card to Darden Restaurants and, occasionally, a $10 gas card). I do it to help people with blood disorders.

Now for the analogy...supposing that Barack Obama MANDATES that EVERYONE submit to having a needle stuck into each arm every two weeks to have a unit of platelets removed. How do you think that you would like having THE GOVERNMENT telling you that you MUST give blood or face some sort of penalty?

Methinks that most of you wouldn't be too keen on the idea.

Now tell me, dear people, how this differs from the government TAKING BY FORCE a third of your pay and giving it to people that supposedly NEED it worse than you do? Of course, this includes "the poor" that are unable to provide for themselves, and, if you elect Osama, "FREE" medical care, "FREE" college educations, ad nauseum.

YOU THINK ABOUT THAT BEFORE YOU PULL THE LEVER FOR BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA!

Look, I already pay (dearly) to put your child through twelve (or thirteen or fourteen) years of school.

Now Barack Obama wants me to pay to put him or her through COLLEGE?

Who the he!! paid to put ME through college? Not the "government", that's for sure!

Well, they've done it again. Some Alachua County DEmocrat OPerative has stolen the SECOND McCain/Palin sign that I put up. Gee, these are some really sophisticated fadwucks.

But fear not, fellow conservatives. As I promised on my post from earlier this week, I will simply obtain another one. There's a guy selling them at Pine & Silver Springs Blvd. in Ocala. I have to work tomorrow so I'll just fork over five bucks for another one.

You dopes are gonna need a ladder this time; the new sign is going to be nailed ten feet up on a nearby power pole.

You know GD well that if it could be proven that REPUBLICANS were complicit with regard to the economic crisis, the congressional hearings would be going on 24/7.

But the cast of characters consists of DEMOCRATS. Therefore, no hearings on the horizon. They love to drag the CEO's of those evil oil companies before Congress every time the price of oil spikes. But, gee, when there is evidence of REAL wrongdoing, especially by dems, they crawl into the woodwork like little roaches.

Come on, Nancy the Slut. Whaddya say that we put some of your fluff boys (Dodd, Frank, et al) on the stand?

Afraid that we just might FIND SOMETHING???

Here it is, still September, and the temperature in Gainesville this morning is 59 degrees with a dewpoint temp of 52 compared with 70/62 respectively at PIE.

We slept with every window in the house opened last night and it's 67 degrees in the house. Break out the down comforter!

Obviously, this is not record-breaking cold but, in six years of living in North Florida, I do not recall having the A/C turned off before October 1st.

Darned global warming is killing me!

Have you heard the latest words of wisdom from Joe "Make Me Upchuck, I Mean, Stand Up Chuck" Biden? As I understand it, he was drawing some sort of comparison between The Messiah, The Most Merciful and Franklin Roosevelt and the latter's leadership during the stock market crash of 1929. Biden said something to the effect of Roosevelt going on television to reassure Americans that everything would be OK.

There were just two very minor points that Joe failed to recognize:

1) Television, if it had even been invented, was not even unveiled to the nation until the New York World's Fair ten years later. I don't think that most American households had TV in '29.

2) Roosevelt wasn't president in 1929 - Hoover was.

Maybe Roosevelt just sent text messages on his iPhone. LMFAO!

Nice try, Joe.

Here's a good one for you:

Last Friday, I purchased a McCain/Palin sign from a roadside vendor for three dollars. It's one of those mass-produced corrugated plastic signs that people stick in their yards. Since I live in a very remote area at the end of a deadend road, I stuck the sign out along the public road - about a mile from my house.

Wouldn't you know it? After placing the sign there Saturday morning, by Monday on my way to work, it was gone.

So today, I bought another one for FIVE dollars and placed it exactly where the first one had been. Whoever took down the first sign left the wire frame which pretty much proves that it didn't blow away.

You know what, libbies? Every time you remove my sign, I'm going to replace it, even if it costs me five dollars each time. At least the money's going to a worthy cause.

You people are disgusting!

I stood in line for about a half hour Friday in Ocala to get my tickets to the rally for Sarah Palin which is taking place in The Villages on Sunday. There was almost a rock concert atmosphere (except that a lot of the people waiting were quite old).

The wife and I are looking forward to making the eighty mile drive from our home in Alachua. You folks in Hillsborough are actually closer than we are.

I can't wait to get caught up in the excitement. We went to a rally in 2004 for President Bush in Gainesville. Now THAT was excitement (for which the democrat mayor of Gainesville did not attend).

I'll provide a detailed report Sunday after the "show".

I don't know about YOURS but mine just may be.

The media (make that the LIBERALS) love to demonize the oil companies in much the same manner as they do Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, and President Bush. But my mother has a sizable percentage of her stock portfolio invested in Exxon. Does that make my mother the devil incarnate? Or is that moniker reserved for the likes of Rove?

But this effort to demonize "big oil" bothers me greatly. I mean, after all, what is wrong with my mother (and the millions of other Americans that hold stock in oil companies) realizing a return on her investment?

Will you liberals EVER get it? Methinks not.

Fannie Mae is a stupid cognomen for Federal National Mortgage Association (FNMA) and Freddie Mac is yet another (even more idiotic one) for Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (FHLMC). How the he!! did they get "Freddie" out of "FHL"?

I propose that, given the stinking mess that the DEMOCRATS have made of these two companies, we change their names to FENEMA and FECAL MAC.

OK, you DOPE's that are running around blaming Bush for the FNMA/FHLMC debacles...

You need to look to where the blame squarely falls - upon your boys and girls in the democrat party.

Would any of you DOPEs you care to comment on Clinton crony Jamie Gorelick (or is it "Lick Gore"?) and her $26 million bonus from FNMA?

How about the FACT that the Bush administration sounded the alarm on FNMA back in 2003 but they were summarily shot down by none other than Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) on the premise that further regulation would impinge upon the ability of said agency to provide loans for the less-fortunate.

WHY are Republicans not DEMANDING an investigation?

Sooner or later, democrats are going to be branded for what they really are: a bunch of scheming, conniving crooks - exactly what some (i.e., YD) accuse the Bush administration of being. I truly believe that the majority of Americans are intelligent enough to see through the democrats' shenanigans. Many of us do and we need to keep educating the uneducated. For some amongst us (and we know who THEY are), there is no hope.

Richard Wright of the rock group Pink Floyd passed away today at age 65. Wright was the keyboardist and wrote the song "Us and Them" which appeared on the 1973 album "The Dark Side of the Moon".

A sad day for Floyd fans worldwide.
