So  running around after your wife is now  more important that answering to the law??

"Sarah Palin's husband Todd has refused to comply with a subpoena demanding he testify in the "troopergate" investigations because he is too busy working on her election campaign. "

Looks like the Palin boost the repubs got after the conference  has    vanished

put that with shooting animals from a plane for fun

and you get meltdown....

-Unless your Sean Hannity the leprechaun-he loves that woman unconditionally !

The thing that really amazes me these days is that these days there are actually people who BELIEVE in politicians !!

Weve had scandels,  money, drugs  etc

yet we have people today -dont matter  right or left or middle who  BELIEVE in a certain politician !!

I find that absoulty amazing !

ALL polititians  are either bent, corrupt, or involved in some kind of skullduggery   either now or in the past.

My friends (thanks john McC)    dont put your trust in ANYONE in DC or come to think of it at the state level either !

this was an anti polititican  rant-and I approved this message !

From todays Sentinel -

IS it time to ban all these lobbyists etc.???  no wonder the people we elect to represent us rarely do ....

8-24-08

"What does it cost to get an audience with Gov. Charlie Crist? If your name is Big Sugar, the price doubled this year.

The Clewiston-based sugar giant's spending on Tallahassee lobbyists surged from a minimum of $252,000 for the first half of 2007 to at least $652,000 through this June.

State compensation reports show U.S. Sugar spent more to lobby the executive branch than any other company in the first half of 2008. The investment paid off in June when Crist announced Florida would buy out the company in a $1.75 billion transaction designed to help restore the Everglades.

But it wasn't just Sugar that upped its investment in good government. Big public hospitals, Shands Teaching Hospital in Gainesville and State Farm Insurance all spent far more to lobby Crist and executive-office agencies"

Yet another politician  up   with charges -this time falsely reporting more than $250,000 in gifts and services he received from an oil services company that helped renovate his home.

Sen. Ted Stevens, R-Alaska--

why do we keep putting up with these clowns?

I dont know about you folks, but I was quite happy when Crist was elected after all the promises he made about insurances   and everything.

I grade him  a E  at the moment

After he advised that Prop 1 to cut prop taxes  is good- it got thru and now we have a mess due to cities losing money  and trying to think up ways to get more out of us,

and of course the housing crash has hurt    cities too.

we had  promises about insurance reform-nothing has happened.

Allstate even thumbed thier noses at the commision and was banned for a few weeks.

and to be honest I have not seen or heard anything positive from the governor.

while the state is going through very difficult times, he's off  following around McCain like a lost puppy.

im not too happy with Crist !

your thoughts?

read these comments online-thought Id share them ...

(and throw Hannity into that mix too)

.....I can still remember the rationale for having Bush in office...

"He's an oil man, he knows how to deal with those markets..."

Everyone of you that blames liberals, show your cards instantly. We know the intolerance of the right.
We know that if it were up to Republicans, we would have just a one party system, theirs.
While 'liberals' can converse and disagree with people,

People on the right declare those who don't agree with them, or Jesus, as mentally ill, the fault for ALL of our problems and in need of re-education.
How very Chinese and North Korean of you.

What we are finally realizing is that the policies of the right are wrong for the economy we have been in.

Doesn't mean they are always wrong, same as the left isn't always right.

All through the 90's, Limbaugh told you to buy SUVs and burn all the gas you want, It's the American way, he said. -and like sheep you followed..

Well, this is where he has led you.
You can't blame anyone but yourselves for refusing to acknowledge the coming energy issues.

And since when have the democrats had enough power to stop drilling anywhere?
Not in the last 8 years.

Cheney and his buddies from the 'secret' energy meeting, upon Bush 43's arrival, is the rudder that set this course.

Limbaugh used to be funny and relevant, he is neither anymore. In fact, his spreading of divisiveness is hurting our country. People that can't think for themselves just check what the party line is, or what the bible says.

No free thought, no rational arguments are tolerated, just blame the liberals.

Hitler did the same thing with the Jews, they were the cause for all the ills of the society, and when enough people bought into it, look what happened.

Second Tuesday in November, we are going to show the world the upside of democracy, yes, I know we live in a Representative Republic. We are going to throw all these crooks to the curb, without a shot being fired.

That alone will show the world the true value of democracy, that no TYRANT can stay in power indefinitely, at least here.

The landslide that is coming in November will be most likely the biggest in electoral history. You guys on the right better hurry up and finish shredding the Constitution, I got a feeling it will be a long time before Republican's get into the Oval Office again, given this debacle and the brain dead, blind loyalists, who mindlessly parrot what Limbaugh tells them.

Call me whatever makes you think you are better than me, I don't care.
I know that the right will be gone come November, perhaps a more realistic and tolerant Republican party will emerge from the drubbing.

When the 'libs' were in office, oil was $12/barrel and regular gas was $0.839/gal......

Finally, let's all remember the Cheney energy task force when the Bush Administration came to power. At that time Enron was manipulating the price of electricity in the US. Ken Lay was a big Cheney/Bush supporter. Now we are ending this Administration with the Bush/Cheney support of the Saudi dictatorship implementing the final stage of the Cheney energy policy.

I'm hearing that our "elected -so called Leaders" up in Tallahassee get FREE healthcare?

can this be so??

SURELY they "feel" the pain of the rest of us as Heatlhcare costs spiral out of control and we pay out more and more,

after all -they are cutting health programs left right and center.

wouldnt it be a smack in our face if they get free healthcare  for them and thier familes off of our backs??

I just hope someone who has connections can put a stop to this and make them pay for it as we do !!

maybe a lawsuit !

maybe get enough signatures and put it on a ballott?

we got to do something- they are making us look like a bunch of fools...

:-(

In the UK the labour(Democratic party)  got spanked by the conservatives(repubs) in local elections.

the imported Scot Gordon Brown had this to say " from the beeb :Mr Brown told the BBC it had "not been the best weekend", adding that voters were worried about rising petrol and food prices and utility bills.

"I do understand this and I feel the hurt that they feel," he said. "

HE FEELS THE HURT ?

from rising fuel and food and electric and gas bills?
this from a man who  has rent free accomadation in central London, is on a fantastic salary and when he leaves his job will be set for life in some cushy job.

I hate these people who  try to be all smarmy and concerned when they really dont give a rats arse !

Now and again when its cool I sit outside near my car at lunchtime and peruse the radio stations, I had the displeasure of listening to  (for a few minutes I couldnt take any more) the bloated,  tubby and  insipid Mr Rush Limbaugh !

there is NO middle ground on anything with this guy its all liberals fault everything from the garden of eden, to  present day the conservatives are always right, honest decent folks etc etc, and he does not come up for air while going about any Democrat or anyone that does not  subscribe to far right wing politics.

and he keeps repeating over and over about the "drive by media"  well I thought to myself what IS the drive by media ? talk radio is absolutly DOMINATED by right wing conservatives.

look at it in Central Florida   If you want news  in the morning

on 540 you got Pat Campbell -conservative

580  Jim turner- Conservative

then we have  Boortz-independant -but leaning right

then we have at 1pm   the big joke himself   Rush Limbaugh

then going home drive time we have that other Neo con-Sean Hannity on 580

and on 540 we got Bud Hedinger

followed buy Mike Gallagher

Its hard to find a talk show radio host thats central in thier politics.

So, next time you hear "Drive by Meduia"

think  Conservative !

As for me my politics are central, I like some Repub ideas,. some Dem ideas.

but in truth none of them are any good. !

of course unless your Rush or Hannity -they sleep with GWB photo under thier pillows.

Folks, dont ask me why but one lunchtime  I was listening  to that bloated conservative

loudmouth Rush Limbaugh  who was saying -and I quote " the surge is working, AL queda is broken and in a mess and  we have hit them where it hurts and thier membership is dwindling"

then we have our "elected " government say =Al Queda is re-grouping, getting strong again, planning attacks....

HUH ! wha ?

I now scour the net  to get  any information  from various sources, as you cannot trust government and Limbaugh is always pro right wing.

As the late great John Lennon sang- All I want is the truth-just gimme some truth ...
