Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls,  - fed up with 4 hour stop start Football games, tired of falling asleep watching baseball?, bored with 10 foot tall black guys throwing a ball around on a tiny court?

Let me point you to the worlds greatest Football (Soccer-to you US citizens)  league in the world   yes the English Premier league.

Its a close finish to the season with Manchester United holding off Chelsea with just 3 games to play each -its a nailbiter !!

Plus the semi finals of the European championships are also about to take place with Barcelona v Manchester United and Liverpool v Chelsea ! (on ESPN)

3 British teams in the final 4 of Europe shows just how good it is in the UK now.

so for those of you who like a sport with no stop-starts, is usually over in 90 minutes

and  like to see REAL athletes,

point your TVs to the Fox Soccer Channel and Setanta sports !!

I have no idea what Im going to do in May when the season ends until the start of the new season in August !!

I just could never get into watching Soccer. I lived in Germany for 12 years and it just didn't appeal to me. I can watch Rugby but no Soccer. Golf is another game I don't like. By the way......When did Poker become a sport?

Lived in Germany about 9 years myself. Think I'd rather watch the grass grow or worse yet, golf!!!

Sorry, when I was growing up soccer was for the hispanics and the kids whose mothers were affraid they would get hurt playing American Football, I also Enjoy Canadian & Aussie Football, some tough SOB's.

Soccer is played all-around the world, not just by hispanics. Soccer is a real sport where athletes have to run non-stop for 90 minutes. Unlike the start stop of American Football. It is laughable and shows ignorance when you say soccer is boring and that you'd rather watch Golf (not a real sport) or even baseball. Can it get more boring than those two? Just a byproduct of Football being an American sport so thus it HAS to be better than the sport loved by billions.

it is not the origin of the game that interests me, and I was not suggesting that only hispanic played it, just where I grew up soccer was not in schools the only soccer teams were the then new ayso. Just dont like the game and have no interest in it at all. The reason it is played all around the world is because all that is required is a ball.

No the reason it is played around the world is cause it's a true sport. All you need for American football is a ball too. But ah yes, you need padding and stuff too? real tough athletes. Don't see the rugby guys wearing anything.

The only way life could POSSIBLY get any better while brawling at a Manchester United match would be to be there with my Favorite British Lady, Margaret Thatcher!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! And if one limy bloke even THOUGHT about knocking off that lovely hat of hers, which seems to be growing a Shrubbery (spoken like the Knights of Neek) of some sort, I’d flog him relentlessly!

Was out liftin' some pints tonight my friend ("Tucher" w/ an orange slice - excellent! First German beer I actually liked! Also like that Belgian white ale, "Blue Moon" . . . and you've gotta try the new Foster's Premium! Almost as good as my favorite: Amber Boch - draft only please . . . terrible in the bottles). Probably why I'm Spamming your Blog! Actually, I was thinking you may never notice that I stopped by unless you see a bunch more posts here. You may not notice that the count went up from 6 to 7, but 6 to 14 - I'd wager you'd notice that, you Filthy Bagger! ==;D

Congrats on your team’s hard-fought victory. Those are the best ones. I really don’t like watching a one-sided match/game even when it’s my team delivering the knuckle-sandwiches!

Did you see me in the stands? I was the guy wearing a strap-on Margaret Thatcher coif beating the bangers & mash out of a Chelsea fan! I think they zoomed in on me at one point in mid-pummel and, knowing that Vladdy would be watching, I dramatically turned to the camera and said, “Allow me to remind you what I promised your last Cold War Mr. Putin: I’ll be BACK!” ;D

I do admire her amazing coif. It has personality! And all joking aside, I’ll never forget how graciously she honored President Reagan at his memorial service. That meant a lot to me (and hopefully to all Americans). Gorby too. I was amazed to see him there! Who would have imagined it?! I think those 3 should have an international Mt. Rushmore carved in their honor for ending the Cold War!

Yes, perhaps you Should straighten me out over a pint or 3 before I get into a pub brawl! I can see it now, thinking some good British fellows would sort of “bond” with me over my admiration for Lady Thatcher; only to be served a knuckle sandwich! Any time my friend (if you can get your good wife’s permission!).
