comsumer laws are stacked against us

I had a recent experience which I want to share, lets say your late with a car payment and you havent paid by the due date, the first thing they do is start calling you and tack on a "late fee" and interest etc

Now consider my case- I had a PC from DELL, paid it off early
yet for 3 months they kept taking money out of my bank account for the payment (even after we called and stopped it)

So the phone conversation went like this
me: wheres my refund check?
Dell: it will be mailed out tomorrow
me: ok -thank you.

3 days later Me: wheres my check
DEll It will be mailed out tomorrow
me : well if the shoe was on the other foot You'd be charging me a late fee and interest would you not?
Dell : yes
Me: so ok, If I have not received my check in 4 business days IM going to tack on a late fee of $25 plus interest
Dell: laughing
Me: whats so funny
Dell: we wont pay late fees or interest
Me: why not you would charge me
Dell: it dont work that way.....

etc etc

( I got my check 12 days later) ....

Consumer 101 Florida Brit: Learn it, live it, do it.

Number one problem is that you gave them your checking account number like some of the Health clubs ask for. You never ever ever ever give that information out. That is consumer 101. Call Clark Howard at www.clarkhoward.com aired on 580 AM noon to 3pm. He will roast you and give you no sympathy.

That is the reason the guy who wrote that Natural Cures on how he says there are cures for cancer, etc. He went to prison 3 years after taking charge cards and keep charging them. You would be surprised at how many people dont check their charge card bills.

You want to give me you bank account number? No ? then why would you trust Dell or someone else.

FloridaBrit: NEVER EVER GIVE YOUR DEBT CARD or Bank account number to ANNNNY ONE. EVER.

I like family time,good friends,Music, Nature, Soccer. I am a supporter of Manchester United F.C. I appreciate the fine female form in all races ! I dont like sexism,racism, any kind of 'ism ! I want to drive an Aston Martin Vanquish but at this moment drive a car a lot less expensive !! I like flying with Microsoft flight simulator, and online gaming with Half Life. I love living here -could it be better?-sure but it could also be a lot worse. I get homesick every time the soccer season starts ! Thats all folks ! :-)
