The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) says their newest gadgets can tell a bad seed from a good one. It's something that seems straight out of science fiction. The DHS is testing machines that some people are already calling "mind scanners."            

They are body scanners that can read your mind and could be used at airports. They check you for non-verbal cues that supposedly predict if you intend to hurt other passengers. Things like body temperature, heart rate, respiration and abnormal facial movements are monitored.

If anything unusual pops up, you're flagged. The machines are designed to tell the difference between the good guys and bad guys. The mobile mind scanners could be used at large gatherings like sporting events too.

It is a shame our government and the different departments can and will waist taxpayers dollars like this.

Eric,I'm with you on this one brother!!! someone PLEASE., tell me this is only a joke!!! Can you say "BIG BROTHER!!" If they want to use it to read minds, start with the so-called goverment officials!!!!!!! See if they can find anything there!!

Dumbo will never be able to fly after he slithers away from Air Force One for the last time....if you have NO mind, you'll flunk the test.

This is no different than anything else the government does to violate our personal rights..if they can tap your phones without a warrant, why not scan your brain?

We just keep giving government more and more and more ways to invade our privacy- why would anyone be surprised?

How many here thought it was a good idea for OPD to put up red light cameras? How many thought it was a good idea for cops to put up street surveillance cameras? How about the little ePass monitors on the toll roads? Mind scanning is just another stop along the way to total police state- and we all just let it happen.

This is certainly NO secret and it is like a sci fi movie...........DON'T FORGET IN THE LAND OF THE ALIENS.........whatyamacallitt....Something 51.....they have undergone MANY MANY TESTINGS of the third kind..........and look at TOTAL RECALL.........they have it in there too......Maybe that's why ARnold is SUCH A GREAT GOVERNMOR.................I'LL BE BACK

ok david I will agree with the teachings...and HEY YOU GOTTA GIVE IT TO OTHER COUNTRIES WHERE KIDS......TRULY LEARN......I KNOW A KINDERGARTEN IN CUBA IS THE EQUIVALENT OF AN 8TH GRADER HERE.....IF NOT MORE.....LETS NOT GO THERE WITH GOOD CHRISTIANS........because in today's world IS HARD TO FIND ONE....LIKE A NEEDLE IN A HAYSTACK...........ok I am done
