Imagine getting married and then finding out you were already married years earlier but forgot.  It happened to an Australian man. Apparently, the guy married a woman from Hawaii in 2006. When he applied for residency in the United States, immigration discovered that he married a different woman in 1978.

He claims he doesn't remember anything because he was "partying too hard."

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS?

Thats the lamest excuse ever, partying to hard. If you get that drunk then you need to sit down and check your priorities.
I'm with Twizlled, wheres the other person?
To cop a quote"Stupid is as stupid does".

...I would agree Deb if it happened in the 90's but come on a lot of stuff happened in the 70's ....I got a tattoo in 79 that I still have not figured out (so I had it covered with a rose) ...wonder if I should start looking around for some misplaced wives ? Where would I even start to search , France , Germany...how lose are the marriage laws in South Africa (I was pretty wasted the week I was on vacation there) ...big LOL

I missed out on all but the tail end (pun intended) of the 70's fun. Not that I can remember all the good, clean, wholesome times from the early 80's. I'm almost 100% sure there are no "forgotten" wives. What scares me is the thought of someone I don't know about in their early to mid 20's showing up calling me Dad.

That's one advantage to getting old and the memory going... you can cheat on your wife and swear you forgot you were married!! LOL

Sort of like oral "sex" not being "sex". I'm sure wives everywhere bought THAT one!!!

No, FlaNative, I didn't buy it when my "X" husband said it, and I didn't buy it when the President said it. LOL

Its tough enough sometimes dealing with only one wife. I just can't imagine what its like for you folks who have X's and all the baggage that comes with them floating around.

I can understand forgetting your anniversary, but forgetting a marriage?

TWO frying pans to the head for THAT one.
