It's Friday the 13th and the end of a long and busy week. From a young UCF student found murdered after an afternoon jog to five men killed when they ran from police and slammed into a train. It's been a tough week on top of some pretty nasty afternoon thunderstorms. Tell us what's on your mind.

All things seem to pass with time and our complacency. I'd like to tell all to tell your father you love him this Father's Day no matter the relationship you have with him.

My uncle was estranged from my grandfather and still regrets not telling him that he loved him before he died.

My father was on life support after a botched surgery and to his wishes, he didn't want to live if machines were keeping him alive in a vegetative state. My sisters had time to fly down, everyone said their goodbyes-2 days before Christmas and then I was alone with him.

I held his hand, son to father, vet to vet as no one should die alone. I talked to him while the technicians began to "pull the plug" and begin his organ donations. Just before he died, I squeezed his comatose hand, told him I loved him one last time and the first time in many years and a tear trickled down his cheek as the monitor flatlined.

Take the time to tell Dad you love him, tomorrow may be too late...

Happy Father's day, Dad!

Watcher that was a great story and you and your dad were lucky. My grandfather, when he died after they pulled the feeding tube out, looked at us said Thank-you closed his eyes and passed with a smile on his face.

Watcher- and Eric. Thanks for sharing your stories.

It's a reminder we all need. Saying I love you isn't always easy in some families. It is however a tiny little phrase you'll never regret.

In the news business we're reminded daily how short life can be. Days are long and life is short.

Happy Father's Day to my Dad and my husband!

Live with no regrets!

It's really sad how unsafe we are, no matter where we go. Girls can't go jogging alone, without the threat of being kidnapped and murdered, our kids can't walk home from school or a friend's house alone, without without being in fear of a pedophile, you can't drive down the street, without someone freaking out on you, because you're driving the speed limit.
I'd LIKE to think I could walk into my neighborhood grocery store or pharmacy unarmed,
but I can't because they might get held up while I'm inside, or some thug might try to car
jack me in the parking lot! Crime is out of control, gas and groceries are outrageous, and the wages people make can't keep up. People are
getting laid off constantly. I just wonder what
is in store for our next generation. I'm praying for The Rapture to happen soon!

I was really bummed this week to hear the news that Paul Newman might have cancer. What an incredible career he's had. I think my favorite Paul Newman performance is in "Cool Hand Luke" but there are SO many in his long career.

The big things that a issue is that city officals and police officers are taking the city vechicles home and to and from work. this adds up to about 372,000 of the tax payer money

I am sitting thinking about how much finer Shay Harris can look on TV. :-) I am sure she looks so much finer in person. Also, i am thinking about how much of an angel and a devil my son can be in a span of about one minute. LOL

Simply what's on my mind is to tell all of the father's out there, Happy Father's Day, and after a week of really difficult news to hear, I hope every one has a wonderful weekend. Toddt, I am so sorry to hear what happen. Times are hard for everyone, and what it would take to pay for life insurance sometimes is needed to put food on the table. I am sure your Church will pull together for her, if you don't mind we will add in some additional prayers for her and her family as well. If a fund is set up for her, let us know.

Yes Happy Father's Day to all and Watcher that was an incredible story you shared. God Bless. I will be seeing my dad on Fathers day and he will complain when I hand him a gift like he always does saying I didn't have to give him that and how he's tired of all the birthdays and holidays and how everyone shouldn't have to spend money all the time on all these days....lol. and I will hug and talk to my mom who is in the middle stages of Alzheimers and when I leave I will know I would rather hear him complain about his gift than to not hear his voice at all.

I am new to this site and whats on my mind after surfing thru the titles, there are too many repeat blogs. To many people arguing and calling names back and forth, I almost thought for a minute I was back in grade school. Just make one and all can come together and talk about it there. How much more can one say about Obama, McCain, or Hillary that hasn't already been said? But then again I'll just go back to my happy place in the twilight zone.
