I'd like to know why Little Christine was petting an alligator yesterday and Big Jim wouldn't go out for a shot with the bear?

And an hour after it leaves doesn't count! LOL

What ever happened to casual Firday? I know we have Hawaiian shirt day on Friday where I work. As relaxed as the morning team is on Fox... shouldn't there be a casual Friday?

I want Idol to be over!

I agree with watcher... I was hoping for a bear wrasslin' segment... tag team... Big Jim and Terrific Tom vs. the Lake Mary Bear.

Is Idol over yet?

Go Magic! Let's head back to Detroit 2-2.

Its seems funny when you confront a business on what you think is improper handling of something, then they want to quit doing business with you. Then you contact Tom Sussi and he doesnt contact you back.

The people we elect to run the country just don't get it -- a tax freeze on gasoline, if we save it for the 3 months it will be in effect, won't even buy a full tank AFTER the freeze expires.

It's called "profiteering" which is supposed to be illegal in this country. The rising price of crude is a MINISCULE factor in the rise of gasoline prices. There's no other way to look at it. AFTER EXPENSES are met, you have PROFIT .... and the oil companies continue to post RECORD profits quarter after quarter after quarter. At a time when the average (less than 70k/yr) worker is struggling to put gas in the car to go work, and pay the higher prices for everything that is transported by ship, plane, rail or truck.

And our "leaders" just don't get it. Too busy smirking at their stock portfolios with all those shares of oil company stock in them, I guess. Well, when America's blue collar workers can't get to work because they can't afford the gasoline necessary to get there, the GDP will grind to a sudden halt and all those stocks willl be WORTHLESS.

Hi it's me Alexix, I'm just a door down from my favorate anchor team... Yes I admit I was scared, very scared to get out of the car this morning.. Remember I was attacked by the hawk a few weeks ago (injuries still hurt).. So the last thing I want to see is a bear up close and personal. I called in to see if it was around, then I drove in my car a couple of times in the parking lot, and when I got out of the car... I ran... Cuban-American and bears.. we just don't mix..

What's on my mind? Hoping that I win the $100 gas card! Of course, I think the prize should be doubled today for those of us who noted the way that Fox spelled KEROSENE (correct spelling) was incorrect. Fox spelling: KEROSINE. Spell check anyone?? :-)

Unless it's a mother or one of her cubs-they'll run from you. Didn't see any cubs so.......

Here's one that burns me up! Why is it the days they start these "Controlled" burns the humidity is around 25% and the winds are around 20 mph? Do they earn overtime from trying to put out the resulting brushfires???

Man, it messes with the ph levels in my pool!!!!

The atrocities normal, hardworking, everyday American families are having to suffer due to the rising cost of gas and food prices. I know some families who are eating nothing but peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, hot dogs, and macaroni and cheese, day after day, week after week, because it's all they can afford to feed their families. I'm referring to a few families specifically, who also have the added expenses of diapers, daycare and prescription needs. Many of our area food pantries are either empty, or getting there. I've been saying for sometime, "Ordinary people are turning into common thieves because they would rather steal, than see their families do without!"

What I am trying to understand is why in the world the Magic is suddenly getting so much airtime? Yesterday you couldn't go 5 minutes without talking about them and promoting them. Can you say bandwagon??

Meanwhile I have a very newsworthy story that I am trying to get on air for the last couple of years that affects 1 in every 8 people out there.....they just don't know it!! I am told that my story is "just not the right time".....I don't understand what is and is not newsworthy anymore??

Times are tough.
On one blog the conversation was about single mothers working the system.
I think if a single mother has to provide for children, then she has to do what she has to do.
If she has to work the system, or even steal to feed her children, then she just has to do it.
I don't like it, you don't like it, she doesn't like it, and when her children understand it, they won't like it.
When she gets a criminal record, DCF will have to take her children and she will have to go to prison, instead of corrupt politicians and oil barons that caused the problem.

All wild animals are unpredictable. Don't trust the bear will run. It might think it's cornered and fight for it's life.

Years ago, my Granddaddy was taking a picture of a black bear in Georgia. The bear was not cornered, but went after him. My Granddaddy threw his camera and jumped in the car.

Victory Garden
I would like to see a return to the victory garden. I think that the interest will increase dramatically in this economy and nobody is ready to fill the spot.
Is there?
I grew things in Maine, mostly flowers, actually.
Here in Florida everything is different.
I do not know what grows, what produces.
At the home centers, I see tomatoes and peppers and spices.
They will just go so far.
What will produce plenty of food and be worth the time, money, trouble?
I need tips.
I need a calendar of when to do what.
I need help with problems.
I did well bringing a grapefruit tree back from near dead.
Can Fox get something going?

Not meaning to sound like a smart-a**. but as a relative newbie around these parts, I have to ask...

Aren't ALL blogs pretty much opened to whatever is on our minds - 24 hours/day - every day?

Sarge, I feel your pain. I'll bet that I drive more than you do (I do 400-500 miles/week and that's not counting what the wife drives). It stinks. But it's called "SUPPLY & DEMAND"; the basic law of economics and capitalism.

...on my mind (at this moment LOL) : Are we (The United States) actually considering an act of war to get help/aid to the people of Burma ? The government has made it clear that they do not want our help so any of the actions we are considering RE: going in anyway /air dropping supplies can be considered a hostile invasion .

Although the blogs are open 24/7, this "special" blog is done every Friday.

It is fun because you never know if your comment will be read on air!

You may become famous after that!! - ROFLOL

On my mind : I want to see police turn fire hoses on the group “Code Pink” they are deeply offensive to all Americans!
We are at war , so their actions are a crime. They and the city government that is sponsoring their “sedition” should all be locked up

And afelton, forgot to say, congragulations on the birth of your child, happy Mother's day in your household. And Alexis I caught your comment last, I am with you, we don't have problems with hawks, but with two other types of birds, the main one is a night owl who seems to have taken over the back part of our house, we have to make sure we don't walk out there after dusk, or "it's on"...lol. We have contacted the Wildlife Officials and they are supposed to come and get this, study the situation first as this is not normal, then decide if they are going to move the bird. Crazy, we are imprisoned by a flock of feathers...lol. I wonder if they offer therapy for victims of criminal birds...lol.

I'm tired of having to swipe my debit card twice to fill up my gas tank. The price of gas has increased so much it takes most people I know more than 50.00 to fill up there tanks. This means swiping your check/debit/credit card, fueling up, and ending the transaction replacing the fuel nozzel and start over. You would think they would raise the amount from 50.00 to 75.00 or 100.00 for the convenience of there customers
