This one's an important election.. lots at stake.

Are you ready to vote??

Are you registered to vote?  Many of you might not know this but your voter registration card must match your driver's license/ID address.  So.. if you move.. you must notify your supervisor of election's office.

How do you feel?

State lawmakers will work on cutting the 70 BILLION dollar budget by 500 MILLION dollars.

Can you guess what's on the chopping block??  Healthcare,  education..enrollment at universities is expected to be capped etc..

Lawmakers are already divided on what to cut and by how much.  What would YOU advise them??

Under federal tax law, nonprofits such as churches are prohibited from endorsing or opposing political candidates. The Internal Revenue Service has ruled that the forbidden partisan activity includes speech from the pulpit that indicates the church favors a particular candidate.

Do you have a problem with churches allowing presidential candidates to stop by and say a few words during Sunday service?

Some polls are showing that candidates who "look" presidential (we're talking their physical appearance) are likely to get people to vote for them.

I would like to believe that people are smarter than that.. especially for this presidential election.. there are so many significant issues on the table that people are really taking an interest in -- the economy, immigration, health care etc.

You think some people will vote for the candidate who "looks" presidential??

Both Republican and Democratic presidential candidates are eager to capitalize on this group.

Why you ask?  According to anaylists and experts...

Hispanics are the nation's biggest minority group.  Although they are only 9 percent of the nation's eligible electorate, they say Hispanics could play a pivotal role in the battleground states like Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado and ****Florida****.

Some are skeptical of the Latino voting power though.  Those Hispanics who are eligible to vote have not turned out in significant numbers in the past.
