NO CHARGES WILL BE FILED AGAINST A MAN ACCUSED OF STEALING 42 CENTS FROM A MALL FOUNTAIN.

43-YEAR-OLD LAS-LO MUJZER

COPS SAY A CUSTOMER SAW HIM FISHING AROUND IN THE FOUNTAIN AT THE COASTLAND CENTER MALL.

THE STATE ATTORNEY'S OFFICE DECIDED NOT TO FILE CHARGES AGAINST HIM.

BY THE WAY.. ALL THE COINS IN THE FOUNTAIN ARE DONATED TO HABITAT FOR HUMANITY.

What do you think about that?

I think that people are getting desparate when it comes to money. That sounds like something a little kid would do.

I think it is horrible. People should get in trouble for the act. People donate thier money for different things like Habitat, MDA, and so on. I have witnessed three trashy black ladies fishing around the Altamonte Mall saying, "you better get some money, we ain't walking home." I was upset and said to them, Are you kidding, are you really doing that?" As they walk around with bags full of clothes and other things. I think they need to put cameras on the fountains. This is a joke.

If the fountain DOES NOT have a placard or any other pertinent info prominently displayed as to where the money goes, I say it's there for the "fishing", now if these folks did the intelligent thing and put up placards or signage that told where the money goes and that "fishing" it out of the fountain/pond could or would mean criminal prosecution, then I'd say prosecute the "coin fishers", if not, again, I say that the money is "fishable".

After all, if they don't display any info on where or what the money goes for dropped into the fountain/pond, how is one to know?
