Do you slow down?  FHP says many people don't.  Remember to turn on your headlights but not your highbeams.

People dont turn their headlights on in the rain either and drive around at 730 pm when lights should be on and you will see 10 per cent of people with no lights on even then.

Drivers are stuck on Stupid and that is what causes the accidents.

I drive to work at 7am, IT IS STILL DARK, yet I see MORONS all up and down SR 436 and Red Bug Lake Road driving WITHOUT ANY LIGHTS at all! And some of these "geniuses" are driving DARK COLORED vehicles which are even harder to see in these conditions!

But I've yet to see a cop (and I've seen plenty sitting on the sidelines or driving down the road) pull anyone over for this.

They need to put down the coffee and doughnut and cite this morons!

In Florida it's called selective enforcement. Cops enforce a few traffic laws. A friend of mine was stopped last week for speeding on Orange Ave, so instead of getting a citation for speeding, he was let go for that and issued a citation for not wearing his seat belt. He admitted he was wrong for speeding, 10 over and thought he would get a citation for both. I think it's all propaganda when it comes to seat belt useage. When it's your time to go, seat belts will not help you. Yeah, I think kids should buckle up, under the age of 18. Once a person reaches 18, it should be their decision to wear one or not. Florida has a seat belt law but no helmet law and not required to have insurance on a motor cycle. To me, that's being hypocritical.

That's why those of us that drive cars have to pay such damn high premiums, to cover these losers that do not have to carry insurance or wear a helment when riding a motorcycle that offers absolutely no protection at all and remember, MOTORCYCLES DO NOT HAVE SEAT BELTS either!

We in the cars should be the ones getting the less expensive insuramce rates and the Motorcycles should be paying these high end premiums! (I used to ride one, but I wouldn't even attempt to ride one in Florida with the way traffic is now!!!)
