Lazy Americans -- Douglas ChickWe are a country of fat lazy Americans, even our pets are fat. Blaming the Mexican workers for unemployment and the economy is a tactic to divert blame from the real culprits. If we kick out all the Mexicans, Who will harvest our vegetables and shovel the earth, and toil the land?  Who will do all the hard work while others collect unemployment, in their government assisted homes with air conditioning? A Cuban may stay in America if he or she can reach and touch the soil. That is their only qualification, touch the land receive immediate government assistance. I’m not suggesting that Cubans do not contribute to this country, but it is pale in comparison to the labor of Mexicans. Mexican workers are an American resource.

I find it suspicious that high tech jobs, degreed, and manufactured jobs are allowed to be outsourced to China and India, but losing your ditch digging, and your fruit picking job, is an outrage. There is no greater opportunity in any other country in the world as there are in the United States. If your job is in jeopardy by a Mexican worker, then you did not take advantage to all the opportunities granted to you by being born in this great country.

"Wet backs", Liberals, and Conservative are not the problem in this country. The problem is the lobbyist that convinces Washington to allow U.S jobs to be sent to China and India.

Ask your congressmen, “Where’s the Jobs!”

Mexicans won't be a big problem if they were here legally. But to collect benfits that they don't pay into is not RIGHT. Most are in gangs, which increase our crime rate, they send any money they make back to Mexico and then collect food stamps, health services, SSI and use our school systems, force us to speak spanish and the list goes on. Send there Butts back across the Border.
As far as jobs going to China & India you have a good point, the only benfit we get from that is all the lead we could ever want and NO BENFITS.....

Douglas by your pics you look like a white collar worker and probably went to collage too.
Myself I was in the military at the age of 17 only to come out and have to help my mother take care of my disabled father. Yep thats right I got to take care of him till I was 38 and got to do that by myself since I was 28 due to the fact my mother passed and now it was me and my Dad. I had to work 2 jobs to pay his med bills. So what I am saying is I really never had the chance nor the money (because I am still paying is bills 5 years after his death) to go to college. I do have my own business in the construction field and have to battle everyday with illegals who don't have insurance but under cut my bids by 30 % because 17 of them live in a one bedroom apt. and get free medical care and food stamps.

I usually like your posts but you missed on this one! Yes wet backs are the problem and once we have paid for their education enough to take your job too I bet you too will be b!tching nice and loud. just remember when you don't have any bills it is easy to work for 5 bucks an hour.

Well, before I became a computer person, I owned a ceramic tile company for 15 years, and installed tile for 20. My father and brother are still tile setters and can not compete with the mexican workers. So, what you say is true. My real point was to make a commentary regarding blaming the mexicans for America's problems. It's like the nazi's blaming the jews for their failed economy. Yes, the illegas should be sent back to their country, and a real solution should be put in place. But I feel the government is re-directing the blame to people that can not defend themselves. They may have trucked them in themselves?

Ok, I miss understood ya. The one to blame are the greedy employers that have no problem with slavery.

Also we need to keep in mine that the Mexicans comming here in flocks have no intention on becomming Americans they are nothing but oppertunist that have zero loyalty to this country. So I still stand by what I said they are the problem but so is our Government.

Sorry for snapping, that whole illegal thing, I'm a little sensitive about.

I have no interest in illegal Mexicans staying here, taking our jobs. What disturbs me is that when the subject of lost jobs comes up, the politicans shift the problem to illegal mexicans taking America jobs. The truth is more likely that jobs are lost to China and India.

When McCain told Michigan people that jobs will never come back to Michigan, those people didn't lose them to illegal mexican workers, they lose many too legal mexican workers in mexican.

Like the Nazi's blaming the jews for a bad economy, the government seems to be rallying blame to the Mexicans, instead of their corporate partners.

Oh, I know. The law doesn't punish those that hire illegals? In fact, I see a lot of talk from law makers complaining about it, but who do you see working for the government doing road work?
